Battery Replacement

long story short.
i have read diff threads on dead batteries.
dont want to go thru hassle of getting my car flat beded from storage to dealer in this snow.
and dealing with the dealership bs. (took car 2 times 2 dealer and got deep scratch on front lip and door dings) ((yes they fixed it))..

so my question is does anyone know or suggest a good replacement battery?
what brand?
i was looking at odessey and optima.....
i found an odessey model number for my 2ss but not for optima, does anyone have a model number for a battery made by optima to use with 2ss?

thanks in advance!!

One of the best batteries made is interstate...They are used by construction vehicles and they make batteries for all types of cars.. Remember camaros have batteries in the rear which require a vent tube for fumes.. Interstate has those too. Optima's are gel and semi-gel batteries..They are very expensive.. check out Interstates site..they usually have a warehouse where you can get them cheap..or just buy one wherever you see the interstate sign ...usually at some older pop repair stations. Pay close attention to the CCA and match it appropriately to your car's engine and model

Optima Red Top! When it is time for a new battery hands down winner. There expensive but well worth it in the long run. Can handle constant hard draws from amps or just everyday use. AZ is known for being hard on batteries and these things never fail.

I've owned a yellow top myself and can vouch for the quality of the batteries. Well worth the monies. Im looking into getting a lighter battery to replace the stock camaro battery (weighs 45 pounds or so)

The only issue with a optima is if you dont drive it every day or at least once every couple days a optima is not for you unless you put it on a tender. Optimas dont like sitting for periods of time. They loose charge quickly. I went through 3 of them under warranty on my supra before I found this out. Now I keep a blue top on a tender and its been fine for 2 years now. Go for the yellow top or the blue top if it sits at all and you have a tender.

Sears Die Hard Platinum is a re-branded Odyssey. I have used these Platinum batteries with good luck in the past. As long as they have one for the Camaro when it dies I'll get that. And it is more continent than some other brands because there is always a Sears around.
