MTX Subwoofer upgrade

Does anyone recommend the MTX Subwoofer and Amp upgrade for the Camaro? It's cost is almost 1 grand. Is it worth the price tag or are there better options?

If I was going to Spend a Grand it wouldnt be for MTX

Maybe JL Audio, Focal or Something like that.

JL make a Sweet box and sub Combo. Or you Can get your own Box from ********.com

From personal experience I wouldn't recommend MTX. Didn't like their subs, never used their amps.

Get the stealth box. It comes with 3 10' JL Subs, and it comes primed so you can color match for the SAME price!

I was in HH Gregg in Tampa , and I saw a MTX 10in. powered sub ,that looked exactly like the one used in the Camaro, for $399. I even questioned the salesman about it and he said it was 250 watts.

If I have my local professional audio shop install an aftermarket sub in my car does that void any warranty?

I have the Factory sub. Completes the factory set up well , kinda pricey, and now the pass with seat down has sub in it.
I had the factory rubber mat in the trunk and that will not fit with this set up.

I ended up buying an enclosure off ebay, two P3 Rockfork Fosgate 10s and 500w Fosgate Amp and I paid a heck of a lot less than the MTX

I like mine... I wouldn't pay a dealer to install it though... it's a easy enough install to do it yourself.

I just recently turned the knob on the system to "Max". And turned the bass on the radio down.

current setup:
Knob turned to max
Treble : 1
Mid: 1
Bass: 6

Sounds awesome.

I put this in tonight, took about an hour. Easy, clean, plug and play deal. This is my daily driver and I am not interested in doing a custom deal on this car. I must say, I played with it for about 30 minutes after the install, and initial impressions are very positive, works very will with the existing BA system.

Cost me $780 total shipped to my door, and an hour to install, I am happy with that.
