You'll have to excuse me, then. I didn't realize you were talking about the top-of-the-line model. (Because it's probably not the 'SS'...but that's for another thread.)

I have no arguments with you about 500hp v. price, then. The ~500 horse Camaro (aka GT500 killer) will be close to the GT500's price. You mark my words.

But I was responding to him about the 'base' V8 (I use quotes becuase there's nothing 'base' about 400hp). THAT will come in at Well Below $35,000. more like, $27-$28k.

I hate to tell you this but, it was announced in 2006 that the Camaro would be available 1st quarter of 2009. GM is directly on target. Production starts Feb.16 assuming no delays.

We don't want a 2-door Charger (Challenger) or a solid rear axle Mustang. Good things take a little longer (fresh sheet design inside and out)

If you're anxious, so are we, but the sky is not falling. Patience Grasshopper...

Camaro production plans officially announced! Full text inside.

I wonder if this is a late April fools joke or something...

Yes, Chevy(GM) is late to the dance. However, fasionablly late and doing very nice in popularity right now.

What I don't understand is why the you think the Challenger looks better than the new Camaro. I'd even take a look at a Mustang before that turd. Besides, the rear end on that thing looks like it came off the GT 3000. And the price? Come on, you know the Camaro will be tons less than the Challenger. And why get the Challenger when you can get a Charger with the same engine for less? I mean why are we arguing this? Haven't we been here already? Camaro will be Pony God and all know will know it.

thats all I said, never said anything about the camaro being ugly, what are you crazy, and I still think that the headlights from the camaro on the test video sould gon on the Top end trim

and when I try to defend the challenger I dont expect to hear from people saying go someplace else and take you bs with you

Just by the grammar and spelling mistakes, I could see where this was going. lol jk.

But after I read this, I was really hoping no one else had posted yet, because I wanted to be the one to disprove EVERYTHING he said. But it seems everyone else got the job done just fine.

You're welcome for the english lesson, but I know you aren't here to write a book. You were here to make statements about the Camaro and you failed at that also. I dunno where your information came from, but the base model v8 will not be $35k. If you were talking about the 500+ Camaro, then it will be more than $35k also, but so is any car with 500 hp. Now show me another car under $30k with 400 hp and as light as the Camaro will be. Not to even mention the interior and exterior looks. It's already been a pretty popular opinion (not just on this site) that the Camaro will dominate the Challenger in almost every aspect. And Ford must be pretty worried if they are finally designing an engine with 400 hp to put in their GT's.

I suggest that the next time you find time on your hands, go read some Motortrend articles or find the significantly high decreasing number of Mustang sales over the last year, instead of coming onto a Pro-Camaro website with a bucket of false information.

If you like the Challenger, then that is perfect. Everyone can have their opinions. But you won't see any of us on a Challenger forum saying how lousy and boring it all looks, not to mention it is just an extremely heavy Charger SRT8 with a different body. Or that it's going to sell for $5k more than it really is, and is based off of a Chrysler. Or that Ford rushed a quick release to get a quick jump on the competition, but came out with a 3/4 the hp of the competition for the same price.

Maybe I'm rambling, but am I wrong?

The fact of the matter is that you all shouldn't care who is pushing what. If your mind is made up, provide contructive critisism to keep him excited about the Camaro if he is having second thoughts, don't reem him a new asshole. In the end, we are all enthusiasts so be enthused, don't hate.
