the only other thing no one has mentioned is the holes on the (front) struts for the end links.
they are 12mm on the 1LE struts (FE4, FE5 & FE6 actually), and so are the end link bolts. on your 2010 (FE3), the holes are 10mm and so are your end link bolts. you can just put them in and forget the mismatch of the bolt and hole. this may (will) lead to some noise when the sway bar shifts from pulling to pulling. think "clunk" when turning hard. you can sleeve the bolt if you can make yourself one. you can upgrade front end links to 12mm versions and either drill out your sway bar to 12mm or get a new one. you can also view this as an opportunity to get new sway bars on front and rear. you'll need new drop links and lower control arms on the rear. don't forget to time your bushings for the new ride height and get an alignment. |

I got the new sways (bmr) with the upgrade so it's an FE4 update front and rear on mine...

Wish i'd seen this thread, I literally just made one asking for recommendations for a new suspension setup and was debating the 1LE setup

Guess it depends on what you want your car to do. Personally, after reading a lot of post from BMR/JDP/JP, I'd upgrade sway bars along with what you already have. Also bear in mind, the 2012+ SS struts are much improved over the 2010/11 and are a direct fit. I think with you springs, upgraded SS struts and a good set of sways, you'd be feeling pretty sticky. Good luck.

Holy crap... I forgot I made this thread.... I was contemplating 1le sho KS cause there was a very low mileage set for sale for cheap. But turns out they got sold. So unless I get some killer deal, I'll just do lowering Springs in the spring. And eventually sway bars. and take it from there. I don't track the car, but definitely live upgrading and bettering my car and having the option and ability to do certain things.
Also, roads semi suck here in NJ. The roads I normally drive aren't that horrible though. |

Get new sway bars and 1LE shocks. You will be very happy, I'm going to go that route this year since 2010's have the FE3 shocks which aren't anywhere near as good as the 1LE shocks.

The money though! I may have to hold off on new dampers. What about new sway bar links? Are those beneficial to upgrade? The rear sway bar seems easy to swap, but the front one looks snaked in there. What about doing just rear sway bar?
Edit : just read jdp website and it says they recommend doing both front and rear to maintain balance. Nevermind. |

You can do rear sway only. In fact, many believe in stiffer rear, lesser front.

That's interesting. Maybe just rear sway bar and near links for both front and back?

Just my .02 don't swap out shocks only if you're doing springs in the future. It's the same work do it while you're there and only align it one time. Not once for the shocks then later for the springs

I know this is an old thread but I figured I'd use it instead of starting a new one.
Reading this and other threads it got a little confusing regarding upgrading my 2011 SS. In short, I will be putting 1LE shocks and struts on soon. I already have the mounts but do I need anything else if I... 1. Just want to swap out the front and rear shocks and struts or... 2. Add the rear 1LE sway bar along with the shocks/struts. Is it correct that nothing is need to do the front if i'm NOT changing the front sway bar and it will just bolt right in? Do I really need to replace the control arms if I decide to NOT change the rear bar? If I DO change the rear bar, what exactly do I need to replace? Disregard - Everything is explained in the 1LE sticky. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244570 Thanks folks!

If you use a 1LE bar in the front you'll have to upgrade to the DSE front sway bar link they have bushing for the strut 10-12 mm.
For the back you'll need the updated LCA's and endlinks and of course a 1LE bar. Best bang for your buck will be 1LE front with a DSE 35mm hollow or JPSS 32mm solid sway bar. That combo is the best sway bar wise. If you haven't bought shocks yet an can afford it try the Bilstein B6s they are the hot ticket, the OEM front seem to bottom out every now and the and make a really bad noise. Check Rock Auto or Summit and see who has the best price.
