Funny you mention about the rock crusher Jewld. My brother just picked one of those up, retro, for his 78 Z28. He just loves the whine of that trans!
Yes sir, great transmissions. Had it behind my cammed and worked over 327 fuelie engine with a McCloud racing clutch.. Was a fun car, Unfortunatly I don't have any pics of the car.

The M21 and M22 transmissions were just about bullet-proof. Two of my GTOs had the M22 and one had the M21. Supposedly the M22 was a stronger unit but I couldn't tell the difference. I abused the crap out of all of them with never an issue. But don't get me started on the Saginaw. My 76 T/A and 79 Z28 had one of those. Hated it.

This was the first dry day of the year so i had to take it out.

First
Installed the K&N cold air intake. (took about 1 hour)

After that i installed the custom tune from Steven at DSP Performance.
i thought i screwed it up at first but it went through without any issues.
it takes quite some time to install the tune and you have to start the car in the middle of the installation.

One tip: close the door before you start to upload the tune if you dont want to hear the open door sound for 10+ minutes
Once you start to upload the tune you should not touch or change anything on the car until its finished.

i was surprised that the intake sound wasnt that much louder with this open air filter....(at first)
its quite at idle or if you dont hit the throttle but as soon you press the pedal and reach over 3000rpm all hell breaks loose.

i also cleaned the steering wheel and plan to do the rest of all leather.
the passenger seat cant have been used at all since it looks brand new.
lets see if i can get the drivers seat back to where it was after cleaning and lubrication.

i wrote an review for this custom tune at Google at DSP preformance you can check it out there.
the car drives like insane now!
last car i owned was an BMW M3 with 346hp but you cant compare it to this.
i have no doubt about the claimed +45hp.
it must be well over 400hp now and the torque is crazy.

its hard to NOT hit the throttle now i can tell you that.
This car is an true drivers car and probably the best and most fun car i have owned.
lets see when i push it at 100%
i have not have full throttle yet more like 50%

And last..
i can understand why this forum section of the 5th Gen camaros are so active.
man what an car!

Tomorrow are the plans to change all rotors and brakepads as they are "sopp slut" as we say in Sweden (junk)
i ordered these a while ago from the US
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AN5S1WQ/?tag=powsto08-20

After that are the plans to drive....fill it up with V Power...drive and repeat a few hundred times.

/Patrik Gardewall
Looks as though your going to have some fun !!! I also installed the powerstop brakes and like them very much , just make sure to follow break-in procedure .
Enjoy your car !!!

You think like me.
I also make things returnable.
Therefore, the T-hande is modified for a larger thread and I mounted it on the OEM shifter.

But I have to confess one thing.
With the OEM shifter, I had trouble hitting the individual gears correctly when driving sharper.

I do not know why. It just didn't sit right with me.
Only with the T-handle did I gain more confidence and the speed steps practically fall by themselves.

Otherwise gentleman's...
As you mention the manual for the old Camaros, I'm going back to my roots too. It's not Muncie, but I bought a new Tremec TKX 5 speed for my 1978 a few weeks ago.

So I will invent another shifter.
...some delicacy

NEW SHOES!!!

Since reading ALLLLLL about tires, and a WHOLE lot of great reviews on here about these Conti's, I bought a new set, along with a set of new wheels!! I dig the red line look and trying to be as "old school" as possible with the new version of the old if that makes any sense!?! and at 39 degrees, rained the past couple of days, I just needed to get a quick fix before the snow sets in again! Next up, Cam shaft and Kooks!
