Miss driving my car already!

Yesterday at work I was rerouting the electrical feed to one of our draglines when the power cable that weighs 11 pounds per foot and is 1000 feet long decided to roll over my right ankle. I thought it broke my ankle but the x rays came back good other than hyper extending the tendons and ligaments around my ankle. Now for the kicker, the one thing the doctor said I can't do is drive. OUCH!!! Now I'm looking through my bay window at my Camaro wishing I could drive her. I have to stay off my right foot for 3 days.

Hyperextending tendons (sprains) are worse than breaks... weakens the joint... be careful for quite some time after it heals.

Glad to hear you are ok. But be glad it's only 3 days and not 7 months.

I'm glad it was not worse. Take care of yourself & you will be back in the saddle (so to speak) very soon.

Take care and do all of the therapy that is required. I have severely sprained both ankles, left twice and right once with tendon rips all, and it sucks. Even to this day I get random pains and the doctor always told me very time I would have been better off with a break. Get well without overdoing it and you will be fine.

Yeah after 3 days I can start putting slight pressure on my right foot but not sure when I can drive again.

Brave, brave man. I drive my wife's car (2012 Kia Optima) whenever I want, but she doesn't drive the Camaro. Could be that she murdered our mailbox with her Expedition (was traded on the Kia), and has already scraped all the paint off the bottom of her front bumper.
