Made a small change up this morning ..
A few years back I installed rear quarter window 'louvers.' Although I liked the look, there was one thing I didn't like about them; there was no way to clean the window. With our hard water, after a while the outside of the windows looked like crap and there wasn't anything that could be done, other then removing the louvers. So, today I did just that and installed some new subdued flag emblems. Now that they are applied, I think the look much better then the louvers did.
Having the ability to put the instructions up on the 'big screen' and look at them from where I was working was nice. Another big help was the little experience I have apply vinyl wrap. Based on this experience, I deviated from the instructions in one area. They call for you to remove the entire backing before applying. I have learned to eliminate or at least minimize bubbles, pull about an 1" of the backing back, in this case along the long front edge; line up and use a small squeegee to slowly apply this area. Once any bubbles are worked out, use the squeegee to slowly work back, pushing the backing off as you do so. Using this method, it took me less the 10 minutes to apply each one ; smooth and bubble free.

I think you are the one the people I got the idea from; I saw a post a while back where you posted a picture showing them. Really liked it, so when I decided to remove the louvers, thought I'd give them a try.

Where do you put your number and dial in time when you go to the drag strip?

You put the number on the drivers side door window, just don't roll it down, ya gotta have it up to run anyway.

I always thought those side louvers did not go well with the Camaro's. It was more of a Mustang thing in my opinion. However - I am liking your rear window louvers since we last spoke. Still have mine on and enjoy them! Like your change up btw!

Forgot to add to my original post -- If anyone is interested, I will send the louvers I removed to the first person in the lower 48 who sends me a PM for the cost of shipping. I will let you know the shipping cost and, it you agree, I will ship them and you can either send me a check or credit my PayPal account. They are still in great shape and all you would need to do is remove and replace the old 1/4'' double sided 3M tape.
