Opinions on the TSP cleetus mcfarland bald eagle NA LS3 cam

Hi guys,

What's your take on the TSP bald eagle NA cam? Anything else you recommend? I want a cam that's not going to beat up my valve train, I won't be drag racing but instead just cruising the highways.
I've got a 2014 Camaro 1SS LS3 with 98k miles with the following mods. I seafoamed the engine with 4 spray cans through the brake booster line going into the intake manifold to clean out the top of the engine.

Dyno Steve tune with SCT x4
KN CAI with metal inlet tube I wrapped in aluminum heat wrap tape.
NGK TR6 iridium plugs
Taylor 8.6mm plug wires
DNA motoring 1 3/4" long tube headers
No cats with factory NPP exhaust with fuse pull
AAM 3.91 gears

I think 229/242 600' 600' wont be too bad for your valvetrain. You could get away with single springs too.

Its a bit large for your needs, but nothing bad. I would run it. With a good tuner, you'll be alright with this cam if you ain't a *****

That's not bad, I'll install a LFP 25% under drive balancer pulley as well

Depends mostly on the dyno and what other supporting mods you have and what fuel.

Anywhere from 445-480...

You have electric steering, maybe 5 rwhp.

Not when you have electric steering ( cost vs HP gained) I would rather spend that money elsewhere on the build.

I see, well what would you spend it on? I'm getting the spread bald eagle cam kit with springs and pushrods, ICT billet high volume oil pump, gasket kit, SLP 160 degree tstat, 1 bolt to 3 bolt cam conversion kit with chain.

Do you recommend maybe thinner head gaskets to increase compression? Go from the stock .50 head gasket to say a .40?

Trunnion kit. Personally, I wouldn't do a cam swap without it.

Is it really needed for this low lift cam?

Even though you're a " low lift cam" compared to other cams, your lift is still higher than stock and what the parts are engineered for. I would upgrade to GM racing or AKA "caddy lifters over the LS7 and CHE trunnions just for piece of mind.
