Pueblo Motorsports Park would be a great venue.

If I can drive ~16 hours to get to a Fest, that would be reasonable.

Bowling Greens is a freaking 40 hr drive from Seattle.

So, I don't think I'm bitching folks. I'm just telling it like it is.

20 hours with the little one is pretty much max for me. We've done 16 so another 4 wont hurt.

Let's see, I agree another west fest would be awesome. Simple fact is I'm not even on the west cost, but western and have traveled to the majority of fests.

Here are the travel times to each fest I have attended not including stops.
Fest 2 in Phoenix - 6 Hours
Fest 3 in Indy - 21 Hours
Fest 5 in Houston - 11 Hours
Fest 6 in Bowling Green - 21 Hours

Would've travelled to GA for Fest 1 if I'd known about the whole Camaro Fest thing at the time.

Now what seems ironic to me is those that live near the east coast and haven't traveled to a fest yet complaining about west coasters asking for a closer fest.

One thing most people have to consider when attending a fest that far away is making it your summer vacation, I think many that have travelled across TX to attend multiple fests would agree that traveling west or straight north would be a welcome change.

Now logistically, is it possible, yes it is, I also understand the hard work that goes into making the fest and costs associated, and yes there are more options toward the east, but there has to be somewhere western that works eventually.

Since you posted a map of the Fest locations... Here is a map of the population density of the United States.

Hmmm... Wonder why most of the fest locations were east of I-35 :P

If that's the determining factor, why aren't alot more people and vendors showing up? The numbers from past fests don't show a drastic difference in attendees and by far the best vendor row was in Phoenix.

Vendor locations aren't always in the most populated areas. There may be a track or something close by where they can test and prove their products, but customers don't "need" to be local.

Also between the vendor entry fee, hosting employees in hotels, hauling equipment/products out, food, and everything else doesn't really give some smaller vendors the option to come out correct? Because I bet its rare to make any profit for coming out to a CamaroFest, basically they are just there to put faces behind their name because most of the people already know the company.

I know the vendors help with costs, but I'm sure most of us aren't there for just the vendors. We are there to interact with other Camaro owners we've talked to online and have some fun with our cars in the process. I know this year was probably one of my favorite events I've been to over the summer.

My #1 Reason and Most Important is Vendor Turn Out.....
2.Autocross/Drag: Some of the top rated tracks are on the east coast
3.Shows: Camaros of the Carolinas, GM Nationals, Maryland Nationals, OC Cruise

1. That's my point also, vendors make the event, the most vendors I've seen at a Fest was at Fest 2 in Phoenix, followed by Fest 3 in Indy.

2. Autocross can be held in any open parking lot that is large enough, and quality dragstrips can be found in almost any part of the country, now road courses are a different story, which the west has plenty of in its wide open spaces, I could start naming them, but it would be a decent sized list.

3. Another good point, with so many shows on the east coast, why not travel west once in a while and provide the opportunity to those that don't get to travel to big shows multiple times a year? It builds and increases the excitement around the venue.
