Suggestions needed to help me from exploding with joy!
Alright, so my Camaro is finally on a rail car and should arrive in Salt Lake City next week sometime. I thought the wait to go to 3000, 3300, 3400 and then 3800 was tough.....this is by far the toughest. Just knowing that it's almost here.
What are some suggestions to make the next week go by faster? GBH? Thanks.

HOW I SPENT MY DAYS WAITING FOR DELIVERY!!!
I spent EVERY SPARE MOMENT on this forum living "vicariously" through each new Camaro being delivered and seeing the new owners' photos and happy faces...
I was cheering them on, knowing that my day would come too and I would be cheering others on that are still waiting...like you... I just felt that my car would be ready when it was supposed to be and that I would rather wait a bit and have it be PERFECT, which it is!! (knock on wood ) than to rush it along... BTW, the timing of my car's delivery is truly a "miracle"... My husband was originally supposed to have surgery on Wednesday, 5/20 and we were afraid it would come in that week and we would have to wait (and have it sitting at the dealer) before we could travel from NY to VA to pick it up... BUT..........my husband called me Monday morning, 5/18 and said his surgeon's office had to postpone the surgery because of a family emergency... No sooner did I hang up with hubby, then my dealer/friend called with those magic words we all live for: YOUR CAR IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!... We hopped on Amtrak to VA and took delivery the very next day - 5/19 and drove it back to NY on 5/20... When my hubby finally did have the surgery, he was laid up much longer than expected...:( AND, the following week, my dealer/friend had to have emergency surgery and was out of work that whole week...:( I bought my car from someone I had worked with almost 30 yrs before and we had just re-connected last November, on classmates.com, so part of the joy of buying the Camaro from him, was to get to see him again after so many yrs... I couldn't believe that he just happened to run a Chevy dealership in VA... So, long story short, MY CAR CAME EXACTLY WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME AND ALL THE STARS AND PLANETS MUST HAVE LINED UP TO MAKE THE TIMING WORK OUT SO WELL!!!... My beloved Dad, who had passed away 9/18/08 always said: "Everything in life is timing"...very true statement!!!... |

Mine was in Wyoming on a rail siding last Monday. It might even be here waiting to get unloaded and delivered. This week I've been getting serious about the money options, stopped by the paint shop and talked with the manager about striping and detail options. Monday I'll call about invisible bra and window tint scheduling. I'll take the car for a few days then back to the shops for 2 weeks of work. You can actually get serious with your plans now. Congrats.
