Assuming you have the BL-5000 do we need the XL? Also, what do you use for lift points?

Blownfogger540 - how do you like the quickjack? I've seen favorable reviews on lighter cars and am interested to hear how well it works on a heavier car like a Camaro.

no effort at all lifting it , also keep in mind 5000lbs is its rating but anything lifting would have a safety test point of at least 1.3 times
if not more

Reichler and I went halves on one a couple months ago, the thing is awesome. I've picked up a 2013 Malibu, 2007 Dodge Magnum, 2005 Volvo XC70, and of course my daughter's 2012 Camaro, and all was done with ease.
Is it safe to work underneath the car? The frame locks into place, it's not going anywhere. Jack-stands placed would make it even safer.

I think 8000 lbs for a tahoe is kinda high... I think they're around 5800. My 2500 diesel is more in the 8000 range.

Best thing I ever purchased. My garage ceiling limits a post setup, plus I do not want something permanent. The vehicle weight requires at least the 5000 series. The vehicle is rock solid on it - way safer than fully extended jack stands.

There are multiple companies that offer a mid rise portable lift of ratings of 6000 lbs.

Two versions: 120VAC and 12VDC. The 12VDC ones are designed for you to use at the track with your car/truck battery for power.

RESURRECTION OF THREAD!

Looks great! But I'm having a hard time seeing how much space is between the jack points. This is perfect for maintenance / tires /cleaning, etc. But, would you be able to say.... pull a transmission or hang an exhaust with this? I know this is a general question, but I'm curious about the answer. Thanks!
