Everything is pretty much set at hand tight (just for fit) except the race intercooler and piping which is going to be a pain in the rear and will require all custom fitting. The shop wants to use 3 1/2" piping for the race cooler and said that the stuff Procharger sent is too small. Guess that is why an old fart like me pays someone else to do the work . They are also going to install a custom heat shield in the engine compartment so the suction filter will draw cooler air from the back driver side hood vent. Just so happens that the carbon fiber hood I installed awhile back is perfect for this supercharger setup!

G-Force wants to get everything plumbed up and set to ensure the fit, then they will remove everything, polish it up, reinstall tight, and we are off to the dyno. The shop is excited about the build and we will be spinning this sucker as slow as it will go. Expecting somewhere in the range of 13-16 psi.

I will be sending some new pics but here is the first.

You think I will have belt slippage issues because the cog/pulley/belt set-up is too small?? LOL!

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1495689866 I'm working on a similar build with an F-1a made my own brackets for the 1300hp intercooler do you have any pics of your intercooler figment?

The big cam sounds badass! I'm with you on the old fart install program. The Procharger D-1 with the race chiller completed the install yesterday. Getting the 3.91 gears today, then tuned.

We've dialed her back as a starting point to about 8 lbs. I believe that should be close to maxing out the stock guts and the ZL1 fuel system we added. Beyond that, then it's a cam and heads. You know the drill, it's never enough. LOL!

I've only driven her one day since I bought her, so this is a good place to start.

What kind of ass end gears are you going to run with the F-1?

8 lbs is a nice safe number. I must be one of those envelope pushers. Honestly, the guys at the shop are more concerned about HP than boost, I suppose due to heat generation. The E85 helps to keep the engine a bit cooler and protects against detonation, but there are limits to everything . I think they would like to keep it under 850 HP if possible.

LOL, a build to limit horsepower. Well lets face it. the F-1X is only a pulley away from generating > 1200 hp.

At present I do not intend to change the 4.11 Strange gear. It has served me well and trips the dyno at 145 mph in 4th. Since I am going with the centri, it will continue to help me get off the line and get the rpm's up quickly so the F-1X can do it's thing. Time will tell. Once everything is completed and I get some seat time, I will get back to the track during one of the closed rental events. I cant stand the Friday night crowd anymore and 1 hr waiting line to run.

I have asked the shop to snap a few pics when the race cooler fitment is complete (it will be the dry run fit, not the final). Hopefully they will remember to get the pics so check back later today or tomorrow.

The inspection station said i can't hide the headlights with that grille... I had him squat down and look straight at (which shows you can see straight through the grill. The grill gives a nice optical illusion that the headlights are hidden when looking down at an angle.

Hmmm I have never had any trouble getting the inspection to pass. It's funny, but at night you cant tell the grille is there at all because the head lights are not hindered whatsoever.

Here is an update from today. G-Force has the race intercooler plumbed up (hand tight) for fitment. Once he is satisfied that everything will fit properly, then it all comes apart for final polishing. After polishing, then everything will go back together permanently and hopefully early next week it will be time for tune and dyno to see where we are. Many pictures to follow:

Thanks for the pics of your intercooler are you going to reinstall the steel bumper in front of the intercooler?
