Gas fill lid cannot lock?

Anyone notice that the gas fill lid does not lock, or do I have a specific issue?

I am talking about when car is completely shut off, locking the doors with the remote.

I expected the gas fill lid to lock as well....or am I missing something?

If the 6th gen is like the 5th gen. You wont be able to stick a hose in it and take the fuel if thats your concern.
Atleast my attempt to drain the tank that way failed.

Mine does not lock.

Although I read somewhere on this forum that non-US models had locking fuel fill doors.

No, this was not my concern. Just generally think that this area should not be too easily accessible when the doors are locked / vehicle unattended.

Maybe there is a Part# for the EU lock mechanism that can be retrofitted on the U.S. cars?

Here is another thread WHY NO FUEL DOOR LOCK
Next time when I remove the liner from the trunk right side I will have a look if I can find a number of the magnetic switch.

Yep. had the key far away in the Apt. and went down to the parking to check and the lid would still open. Doors were all locked and alarm activated.
