Where can you get a list of accepted CRU's? I can't find the info on the offer site. I did build a camaro and see the discount (which my dealer said does Not apply)

Credit Union Discount

I just went to the GM Credit Union Discount web site, it allowed me to build my 2010 1SS and provided me with the discount @ the end $1240 from $34770. However when I called the dealer they are not going to participate due to the supply and demand. The only way they will honor any discount is they get their money back. Rules state that the dealer does not have to honor this discount. Good Luck with your dealer. When u apply for your authorization select Chevy and Concept Camaro, eventually it will allow u to build your car.

There is another Gov program (cash for clunkers) in place right now to receive a voucher for up to $4500 http://www.cars.gov/, must read
all FAQs and have to qualify your clunker. It all depends on the difference in gas mileage of the clunker and the Camaro. I have a 95 Dodge Dakota, it is eligible for $3500.

I was told today by GM customer service that they have another discount going right now. If you have had a total vehicle loss in the last year you get an extra $1000.00 off a new vehicle. I really didn't pay attention to that because I haven't but for those of you who have you might want to check into it.

I am also a member of a credit union on the list so i'm just trying to see which is better to use. My dealer accepts all GM discounts.
IMO, easiest is authorizing through the credit union discount (same as supplier). Took me all of 5 minutes.

That is incorrect. If a dealer told you this they are trying to get paid twice
for the discount. The credit union member discount is just like Supplier pricing
and if any dealer tells you that the final price is anything above Invoice they
are not being truthful or honoring the discount GM has in place. Supplier pricing
/GMS/Credit union member discount... regaurdless of what you qualify
for or want to call it you pay Invoice. The dealer is required to show you the
invoice and that price is what you pay. Period. Any incentives in place at the
time of delivery... IE cash for clunkers, ussa, etc. are in addition to the
invoice price.

Say MSRP is $35,925
and the Invoice is $33,895
Delivery charge is $795

the Price you pay is $34,690 and not $36,470

plus if you qualify for a current
incentive like Cash for Klunkers
at the maximum of $4,500 the
price would be $30,190

Trackin?

Here's the links to the Credit union member info to take with you to the dealer

Rules and guidlines, excluded vehicles, etc.
https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/GMP.../pdf/randg.pdf
https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/ip-...igibility.html

You might also note that The Dealer will be permitted to assess up to $75 in
documentary fees on each delivery to a Participant under the terms of this
program... Some dealers will try and charge you $399.00 doc fees, but if they
are honoring the program they can only charge the maximum $75.00.

Hope this helps. Read up because some dealers will take advantage if you
don't and they won't mind keeping the extra money that you overpay as well
as the GM money too.

i believe ur confused on what everyone is referring to, the discount people are talking about isnt a discount within the credit union, its a discount u get directly from GM just for being a part of the credit union. it has nothing to do with financing leasing or anything of the sort. if ur credit union has a small discount on % points then that is a totally dif discount than the one we are talkin about

Credit Union Discounts

I also went on line and applied for the CU discount on my 2SS order and the savings was $1300. Unfortyunately the dealer I ordered from says they are not honoring this supplier pricing program with CU's.

He says it is becasue when they sell these orders at MSRP and after all is said and done the dealers only make about $800 per Camaro. But then he said they would honor USAA discounts which makes no sense becasue it is about the same as the CU discount.

If a dealer honors one type if GM discount than they should honor all of them. I am going to wait and play nice until I go get my car and the I am going to bring up this issue and fight it until I just get on their nerves so much they give it to me just to shut me up and get me out of there.

Hell, it's worth a try anyway, no never hurts. or does it!

Supplier price and Invoice are NOT the same. The dealer is not required to show the customer the invoice.

From the program rules:

"Pricing Sheet

Included in required paperwork at the
dealership is the GM Vehicle Purchase
Customer-Dealer Agreement and Pricing
Sheet. This should be reviewed and, once
complete, signed by the purchaser. DO NOT
SIGN the agreement if it is blank or The
Program price (supplier price) from the
invoice is not shown."
