Oil pressure gauge fluctuating \ possible sensor failure
This recently happened my oil pressure gauge keeps switching from 0psi to 70 psi on my 2011 SS A6 attached are a couple videos showing what’s happening any suggestions on what it could be and how to fix this issue. My hypothesis that the oil pressure sensor is bad. Also my CEL was on before because i have no cats not sure if it threw a code for the oil pressure sensor yet. Please tell me the codes that would indicate a bad oil pressure sensor. Thank you!

mine did the same thing and eventually just stood at 70 permanently. changed it a a week later.
small hands help so that you dont have to remove the manifold. took 20 minutes to replace. takes just the socket, rachet, 2 extensions, and a ujoint to do it Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

I have read this link ...
https://www.fixmyoldride.com/Chevy-e...-pressure.html And I was interested in mentioning a filter around the sensor. I've never met this before. Our LS3 Camaros have them too? |

If this occurred in an L99 much of it has to do with the active fuel management. The VLOM that controls the oil spraying into the cylinders that shut down can cause oil to not flow as it would. The LS3s don't have it however as you noted there is a screen under the oil pressure sensor that often gets clogged more often on the L99.
