Tune out DFCO with EFI Live?
Anyone know how to safely tune out the DFCO with EFI Live? Can I just set the enable temp to an abnormally high temp? I'm tired of listening to it pop when I downshift.

The pop probly isn't DFCO. It's ussually timing related.

It has done it ever since it was new. It only became loud after the headers and exhaust. It was present before and after the tune.

It's not really for fuel savings. More to help decel the car.
The stock tune can bring it down to -8 degree's of timing while cutting down fuel. I tune it to go only as far as +4 degree's which takes out most,if not all of the decel pop. |

You can disable DFCO by pushing the parameters to unrealistic settings in tables B2406 through B2410. I would try playing with DFCO spark timing first, I'd bet you could get most of the "pop" out that way.

I just posted something on this that may help.... you can get rid of most of the popping via dfco spark entry tables. Im not sure the Efi Live terminolagy but the P0068 test may still need tweeking. to test this: from an idle, put the trottle to the floor, and let off instantly. If the P0068 needs work it should instantly go into "redused power mode" or atleast mine did. hope this helps

I shifted my mph range up a few so that I don't get as much popping around town, works fine for me and I keep the benefits of the Highway mpg. If I use cruise at 65 I'm getting 25.7 mpg (I got this on my way up to tewksbury last week)
I believe it does effect fuel economy. Although it does help decel the car too. Ken

Why do want to get rid of the decel pop? You don't want it to sound like a muscle car?
