Changing Pulleys

I'm putting a meth kit on the car tonight with a buddy. Car is already tuned for my 2.8 Kenne Bell without meth. I was told that installing meth with my current tune will just help with intake temps, not necessarily add a bunch of power. I'm fine with that as long as it cools down and keeps the car running better.

Would I be able to put a smaller pulley on at the same time without changing the tune? Honestly I don't know what size I have now but I have 4 other ones that came with the kit. If it helps I can measure them for you guys. Just curious if it would do any harm or if I would pick up some power?

Total FI noob here!

as long as you aren't using meth as a supplemental fuel, I would say yes...pulley down at will.

I believe you are still on the stock fuel pump so I can not recommend dropping the pulley size.

I would still think you would need a tune if you change pulleys and up the boost.

What would the goal be to changing the pulley? If you have the pumps to support more fuel and more boost with the pulley, do you have the bigger injectors to feed the beast?

I would recommend tuning with a new pulley and the addition of meth

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to hold off. We found a whole host of other issues that my speed shop didn't seem to test for. My liquid coolant is not circulating through the blower at all. No wonder my blower runs overly hot and never seems to cool down. You touch it after driving for hours and it's barely luke warm. Need to fix some things before I put the meth on or re-tune.

Yeah that is Ultra Important, if you need a pump we stock them.

What am I missing here? The blower "runs overly hot and never seems to cool down" AND "you touch it after driving it for hours and it's barely luke warm"????

Being luke warm after hours of normal driving (in bypass mode, not boost)
if perfectly normal upon shutdown. After the cars sits a while it will heat soak and the blower will then become very warm to the touch.
