Think i'm having the 5th bow problem :(
Hey everyone. haven't posted on here in awhile. So about 8 months ago i was having issues with my weather strips on the side windows. because of that i hadn't really messed with the top with the fear of them being pulled off (again) when the back windows roll down. earlier today i was cleaning the interior and decided let the top down just because it had been awhile and didn't want the motor to go out or anything because it hadn't been used in awhile. So the weather strips were fine but once the top hit the back it made a weird noise. I put it back up and noticed it wasn't as tight. So i've got this gap in the back now and small gaps on the sides. Had it for 9 years now with 89k on it. I won't be able to put it in the shop for about a month because money is tight. Guys think it could make it till then? it's my daily and don't want it to get any worse because of rain or cold weather. Also does anyone know a rough estimate on how much it will cost?

yes, your 5th bow is bent. The brackets on the end of the aluminum are actually what bends but they only come as an assembly with the aluminum bar. Read the posts on how to repair or get an estimate from the dealer. The part is about $200.

I ended up finding my 5th bow in stock at a (not super close) Chevy dealer for less than cheap internet price+shipping.
