I realize this is the hardest thing to actually do - but if you ordered the RS then I wouldn't accept it without. The HID's are well worth it for driving at night - and adding the OEM's after the fact will cost near as much as the package itself (and the dealer will tell you it can't be done). Then you also are missing out on the 20" rims along w/ the roof rails & antenna (the last two are minor IMO).
Good luck whichever way you go! Also - just a FYI - the front bumper has to come off to install the lights. If you go OEM (and IMO that's the way to go) then you'll need the lights & a harness from gen5diy.com. I think Ofer over there can also get you the lights. IIRC it's around $800?? Someone help me on that please. |

Hope things work out for you with the Camaro. The SW looks good with just the hockey stripes !

I would check their inventory and cars due to arrive and see if any unsold units were closer to what you ordered. Then try to deal on that.

I would agree with this - and if they don't have it then it could be worth it to send Becky a PM w/ your deal info & see if she could get you into one. Then tell the dealer to shove it.

Congrats on getting your new ride Jessica! The black and white combo really looks sweet! As others are advising though, think carefully about the RS issue and whether you'll be happy accepting a non-RS model given all the features that would be there. Since you asked specifically for an RS to begin with, you might have some remorse in the coming weeks if you don't get exactly what you wanted to begin with. I'd definitely look to the dealer to sweeten the deal with some free upgrades or service , or even a deeper sticker discount against the model you'd be accepting, if you decide to accept the non-RS car. Make sure you come out on the better end of the deal since they screwed up.

Nice looking ride. I think I would tell them that they need to find a way to install that RS package.

So, I'm torn. I picked up my car.
As long as it is POSSIBLE to have the halo lights installed then I'm okay. The closest car build -exactly- how I want my car is in Arkansas. Because of the distance, that was why we special order one. I'm not even sure why my sales guy left the place, but I wonder if something got mixed up during that. I have to fill out this customer survey and I'll be sure to note what happened. What's the point of special ordering a car if it's not how I want it? It's a Camaro. It's nice. I'm not going to complain (too much). I got about $5k off the invoice anyway with my discounts and rebates. Being in the military helped a little bit too. *sigh*

You can pick up the SS rims & tires for about 650-1000 used. Watch craigslist or the for sale section here if you decide you want them. Since yours is a DD you could, in theory, put snow tires on your 19's and have the 20's for summer fun.
There are threads on how to swap the lights. Regardless - have fun with your ride now! Congrats. |

Congrats on your new Camaro! I love it in white!! Hate to hear about your RS package mix up thou. You get so excited after waiting for your ordered ride to show up you don't realize right away that something is not right. Same thing happened to me on a new Tahoe. I was so stressed because I didn't realize until I signed and drove home it home that it was missing stuff. The dealer found one with the correct options and made the deal right without issue, HUGE relief!
