I'm probably in the minority, but I don't mind it. I can work around it without any issue.

I chose the GP Tuning 2.5 (same one as ABADZL1, actually). After a lot of research, I think this will best suit my needs. It's somewhat similar to a BTR 3.

On another note, if anyone has any helpful tips on getting the wire tray loose from the side of the block or the side of the oil pan, I'm all ears. I got all of the oil pan bolts loose already with the help of a flex-head ratchet wrench. Then I realized the darn wire tray bracket-thing is actually bolted to both the oil pan and the block on both sides, and prevents the pan from dropping. All 4 of the bolts on the bracket are nearly impossible to get to unless I start pulling more stuff off and out of the way. That may be what I'll need to do, but thought I'd ask first before pulling everything off. Hopefully I'm just missing something.

More photos of progress today.

Stock trunions pressed out, CHE trunions installed, oil pump ready to be removed as soon as I can get the pan out of the way to get to the pickup bolt.

Looking good.

I just finished installing my GP Stage 2 Cam. By far, the hardest thing to do is the oil pan, I actually ended up getting a second set of hands to help push down the Oil Pan. I ended up not even removing Wire Loom Tray thingy, and just removed all the bolts with extensions and a universal joint. You will have to remove a nut/bolt on the passengers side, there is a black bracket that's attached to the oil pan that will prevent you from forcing the pan down.

Thanks for the sanity check. So you pulled the bolts on the tray thing on the passenger side only? Looks like maybe a 10mm head and a 15mm head? Or are you saying you pulled all the bolts on the tray from both sides? Did you have to loosen or remove the alternator or the A/C compressor? Thanks in advance.

The wire tray has a nut threaded on to a stud on the driver side, front section of oil pan by the alternator. Both nut and stud need to come off. Some cars have one facing forward as well securing evaporator lines if i remember. I do so many of these on all year camaros i dont remeber which years are slightly differ.
The passenger side has a bolt stud attaching the wire tray just behind the a/c compressor on the side of the front of oil pan. Then you can wedge something in between the pan and block being careful not to scratch or damage the gasket.

Very nice. Isn’t it the best sound!! It’s like a brand new car! What’s up with the exhaust tips?

Thanks! I LOVE the sound. After driving it for a couple of days and starting to re-do the fueling, it's really mild as far as driving is concerned, too. Of course, I guess anything for our cars is gonna be pretty mild due to no overlap.

Regarding the tips, I assume you mean the nice patina from a lack of cleaning in a really long time? Otherwise, it's just the stock tips.
