So if you run under 11.5 at Beech Bend on a TNT they won't let you come back to TNT days? How do they know?

In my case, the times were displayed for all who wanted to see. Since it was the only bright red/silver striped GT500 there that day, it was pretty easy for them to pick my car out of the crowd. A guy comes over to the pit area where I was parked, looks in the car, asked if I was the owner and when I said yes, he asked, for safety's sake, that I refrain from running again until I have the appropriate stuff in place for the times the car was capable of.

Well, my car has the power to run 11.5ish maybe better with the right driver (not me). However I'd never put a cage in this car ever.

I was hoping if the stars aligned and I actually did it I wasn't banned from the track forever.

i dont have the slip since it was a couple years ago before i added the pulley. Only ran twice 13.1@112mph and 12.8@113mph

thats a lot of power for that low of a trap speed. are you sure that dyno sheet you have isnt for a SuperFlow windyn ENGINE dyno?? 118mph in a 4300lbs car should be doable with a lil less than 480rwhp

Yes that was before the pulley and matched your previous best before you got drag radials.BTW I see you're not very familiar with the nhra rulebook....if you ever get out of 12second land you should get familiar with it. Just saying.

I decided to give some DRs a shot. WOW what a difference. I'm new to drag racing and have a total of 9 runs under my belt, and I shaved 8/10ths off my previous PB with the DRs on Saturday. It was about 70 degrees and 30% humidity at Beech Bend Raceway.

I ran a 12.03 @ 118.26. My Challenger is a 6 speed manual and I launched at about 2,000 RPMs. It bogged down on the launch. Next go I'm gonna launch at 3,000 RPMs and I'm confident 11.x will be the time easily and is my goal for this car that spends most of it's time cruising the streets and hitting car shows.

Not that I wanna make you guys jealous, but look at all the gear I got in the trunk. Holy cow this thing is fast AND practical.

I wish I could go to a track with only 30% humidity!!! LOL The best we ever get around FL & South GA is about 70%

Doubt it'll get that high. I've had one run right at 120, but not sure what I did different...maybe shifted at a different RPM on one of the gears dunno.

Challengers with 470-490 RWHP even with auto trans are running about 110 - 112 in the 1/4 mile traps.

WTF 490rwhp and only 112mph is that a texas dyno?!?! ive seen sigs over at chargerforums.com and guys with 420rwhp are hitting 112mph. 4000lbs camaros are doing it with 410-415rwhp. The new 392 challengers only put down about 430rwhp and should be hitting 112+ and some reported 114mph

I can tell ya that's not what we're seeing with the Challenger especially the manuals. The 2009 and up 5.7 has a lot of unique tuning issues as well. The 6.1 fairs a bit better. As an example if you speed shift a 5.7 the computer still closes the throttle for you when you hit the clutch. It also pulls a lot of timing when you're back wot after a shift. It was just a few months ago my tuner was one of the first to really crack the revlimit and was able to give me a few more.

Rather than work with the aftermarket Dodge works against it and encrypts their ECM so our tuners have to hack them and reverse engineer to tune. You Ford and Chevy guys have it much better in that regard. Now with the 392 the Dodge engineers are bragging that it's even harder to crack. I mean WTH!?

I have a video of a challenger from CamaroFest that was 575rwhp with a KB blower on 10psi. He is a seasoned racer with an auto 6.1. He ran a 11.4 at 122. So I think mine's in line.

These cars are heavy, but I don't mind that. They're comfortable to drive and I can load up 4 hot chicks in the car and go on a road trip with all their luggage

One last thing I'll mention. All my runs have been on 93 octane and a tune I drive with every day. No special gas additives or race tunes with MS109 or any of that. My previous best of 12.82 was run on street tries with a fully loaded car and I mean cooler full of drinks, fold out chairs, and the whole bit in the trunk. A lot of people, some of my friends included, will post up the crazy fast times of their very best runs on one particular day and everyone ooohs and aaaahs. However when I ask them about it they admit it was a race tune on race fuel and the interior of the car was stripped out and they barely had enough fuel to make it down the track LOL.

I'm sure you've been around this enough to know posted times always have a back story. Since I don't really care I have nothing to hide and tell straight up how the car was setup. If I try a race tune from my tuner at some point, I'll post up it was a race tune with MS109 and that I shaved X amount of time off my street tune runs. The only person I'm racing is myself.

It ain't like I get paid to race and have to keep it all top secret.
