What would affect acceleration rate Terry besides the converter?

That is EXACTLY what I've been looking for and it is right in line with 5hp over the 1 7/8 headers!

So now I have half of my answer, just need to see a for sure dyno of the Pfadt headers.

Did you have any clearance issues??

I'm with what little88 said.
And I have yet to see a dyno plot I want to see from pfadt. I want to see a comparison on a centri car with a kooks/txspeed/AR etc. Maybe Matt at fsp can make that happen. He deals all after all.
The lack of proof makes me think my assumption is correct on FI.

Glad you made this thread. I'm still undecided what setup I want Track/highway but I'm the type that doesn't believe everything the internet says I want more N/A results 1 isn't enough lol I'm already impressed with these mid to high 11sec bolt on cars with traditional 1 7/8s, I would like to see what else these Tri-Ys can do 70% tell me no 30% say yes on the Tri-Ys and I mean record holders not random people.

The only results I have to go by is the Jannety header test which produced 411.7 pk hp on a stock LS3 which was 5hp more than the 1 7/8 headers.

The reason I'm researching this is Bc I'm trying to weigh the cost vs hp effectiveness of the 2"TSP vs the Phadt 1 7/8 header.

I've heard of 1 independent test on the Phadt header and it gained 7rwhp over a 1 7/8 ARH header.

So my thinking is if these numbers are indeed accurate, and TSP 2" gives you 5hp gain and Phadt only gives you 2more HP than the 2"TSP, then it makes more sense to me to buy the TSP for 1/3 of the price? Triple the price tag almost for 2 hp?? That is the main reason why so many people went with less expensive headers like TSP or Stainless Power to begin with.

I really hope Phadt can gain maybe 5 hp over the TSP 2", then it just might be enough to then make the price difference a value again.
Keeping my fingers crossed for big Phadt results!
I personally wouldn't run 2" headers on an N/A build as 1-7/8" 4-1's are plenty.. The Tri-Y's do produce better power in the mid range and testing shows peak numbers to be very close.

What are you building or what are your ultimate performance goals?

Kind regards,

Jordan Priestley

I take it there is doubt in the hp claims on the pFadt headers? Spill it?? I'm picking your brain!

I already run skinnies and if my rubber gets any stickier it will start to glue itself to the track!

I personally had to put the slightest ding on the right side because it was rubbing on the suspension. I probably could have just loosened and budge the block over less than a cm but I went the other way. Had tons of clearance on the driver side.
