Shift Lights
I haven't been able to see the shift lights in my HUD--anyone else have this problem? Or what's the trick?

Check to see if you are in format 4....
"Format Four: This display appears on ZL1 models only. It gives the speedometer reading (in English or metric units), transmission positions (automatic transmission only), Shift Timing Light Position and lateral acceleration (G) indicators. The radio, CD, navigation, and phone information do not appear in the format four HUD display. The shift timing lights at the top of the display will appear with increase in engine RPM" |

My heads up stop working, nothing would come up , took car back they installed a new heads up module. When i picked back up car mode 4 was not on it no g scale, they put a 2012 ss module in with only 3 modes, i was pissed after all that, Now gm is going to send my dealer software they can upgrade to get mode 4 back. I have auto never did see shift lights, now im waiting for gm to send dealer the right program for the mode 4, They could send another module but i dont want the dash to come out again. For them to change out hud the dash has to come back for them to insatall it, So im waiting for gm to send my dealer the upgrade so they do it all by computer. My understanding is mode 4 should have g scale and shift light, They might have problem with the new mode 4 on hud.

Are the shift lights on the automatics also or just the standards?

I use the HUD mode with the tach and mph, when you de-accelerate and roll at part throtle it shows the radio station and song you are on. I haven't wound mine up past approx. 4,200 RPM so I am unsure about a shift light. I didn't read the manual sufficiently enough to see if there is one. There is no CAGS I believe, I tried to lightly take off and see if there was a 1-2 shift lock at part throttle, which I didn't experience. FWIW. Rock on guys, this ride is as sick as there ever could be, sooooo much fun!
