Questions for Challenger owners...

I'm curious what you think of your car, both positives and negatives.

I'm most curious about the 375 horsepower R/T version. Thoughts on the automatic transmission?

Or anyone who has driven one...thoughts?

My Mom owns one and ive driven it plenty of times it has the Auto BTW as well. Well it rides really nice a lil better than a Camaro SS but its definaltly not as fast as a SS camaro its down HP and weighs more. But is is plenty quick for most purposes And its easier to see out off and still looks good as well. Oh and its and its not a handler imo cause it leans too much in corners compared to a camaro. Sometimes u can find a CHallenger RT for about 25-26 k brand new as well.

I have an 09 SRT8 Challenger but my dad has an 08 300C 5.7. So i can answer almost any questions you have about drivetrain or the car it's self.
I personally love my Challenger my only peeves are the steering, I prefer the steering to be a bit more natural feeling like the Camaro is. The quality of the car is very good, i prefer the boston acoustics system in my dads Chrysler over the Kicker system in my Challenger. The automatic isn't too bad but I prefer the 6 speed I have. As for torque and power you wouldn't think there would be a huge difference between the 5.7 and 6.1 but the torque in my Challenger sits you back alot more than the 300. The ride is really good alot less firm than the Camaro.... And don't let people fool you when they say the Challenger is a boat compared to the Camaro, it's actually not that much bigger. You'll have more headroom and less blindspots aswell.
If you can come up with any questions post them.
I had the pleasure to drive all 3 cars.
With that said, if the bank will let me I can see a Hotwheels SS in my future lol.

drove a 2010 srt8 on hot rod power tour one year(approx 1500 miles in one week) and i own a 2011 camaro ss vert. the dodge is much more comfortable on long rides and the interior is much more accomodating. the motor is ok although it died a couple times in parking lots idling(mopar sigh...) both automatics. performance wise i prefer camaro, driving wise i prefer dodge( i am a gm person i have owned over 30 gm products so i am being serious here)

Keep in mind there is a HUGE difference between the 5.7 Hemi in the 08 300C and the more powerful VVT version in 09+ cars, especially the Challenger.

It's really hard to describe the differances. I went from a 1SS to a SRT8, so not really the R/T feedback you are looking for. I'd suggest you go out and test drive the model you are interested in, that way you can judge for yourself.

I've heard the Automatic is having problems. Best go with a manual.

Can't speak to the RT engine. I just traded my 10' 3.5 V6 Challenger SE in for a Turbo Beetle (yep, talk about going to extremes) but other than the under-powered engine, the car was awesome. Very solid, the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in, great ride, nice ample interior room. A great cross-country road trip car. Had 30,000 absolutely trouble-free miles on it, before trading in. Might have to buy one again, either with the more powerful VVT V6, or RT.

My last trip to the drag strip in my Vette, I got beat by a guy in a 300C SRT8. He ran a 12.129@115 or so. He said it was bone stock and naturally I said, "sure...". He was fast, but others said it was cammed and a bunch of mods. Anyway, I've driven several and although very nice cars (emphasis on the nice), the size, weight and lack of instant forward motion, really turned me off.
