Cam kit suggestions

I'm currently in the market for a cam kit. The LT, full exhaust and CAI just aren't cutting it . I've been looking at the Cam Kit Plus from Vengeance Racing with the Kaotik cam, or a Brian Tooley package with a custom grind. Not being extremely familiar with either, I'm curious to hear the opinions of my C5 family. I know there's a wealth of knowledge on this forum so let's hear it. Thanks in advance.

It seems as though a lot of folks on here go with the Night Fury and are very pleased with it. I just don't want to "be like every other car". Know what I mean? Not saying that its a bad thing at all. Just looking for something different.

I'd get with someone like Ed Curtis, Brian Tooley, etc and have them custom spec a cam to what you need. Each build is different, each car is used differently, so I'd get a cam spec'd to your specific needs.

I have installed my setup yet but I've ordered everything through Brian Tooley Racing.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Brian Tooley has killer pricing. $729 for a custom grind, .660 dual springs with Ti retainers, and pushrods. Like I said before, I'm just not real familiar with them.

Its an L99. My goal, for now, is 500 RWHP. I know I'll have to do, at least, a legitimate AFM/DOD delete and a cam.

With any decent cam you'll delete AFM. The question you need to answer is, stay with VVT or convert to LS3. There are several VVT vs LS3 threads for you to look at with a quick search. Make sure you chose your shop wisely.

That's just it. I'm in the middle of corn country with no reputable shops, that I'm aware of. The nearest big city is Indy at 130 miles away.
