I'm waiting to see what it looks like as well. I'm going to order the Hurst in mine in September, but would like to know what I was getting before it gets here.

I just talked to a dealer today and he told me that it's still up in the air for the hurst shifter. Nothing is confirmed yet as he put in orders for camaros with this option and it's not showing up on the build sheets. Whats the deal?

The HURST shifter is now OFF CONSTRAINT!

Is it true that the factory installed Hurst can only be installed in the V8?

What has been discontinued? The Hurst?? Next week is the start of production for the factory Hurst short throw. And from a reliable source on here there have been thousands shipped to Oshawa from Hurst.

FWIW, you can buy the shifter from Hurst...see link above. $365. Bet Summit or Jegs will sell it for less. Dealer wants $480 installed.

Oh yes...it fits BOTH the V6 and V8 tranny!

The "factory" installed Hurst (KAE) is different from what you posted above and only available in V-8's

The "INFERNO" concept they had on display at the GM Performance Division Tent at this years woodward dream cruise had the HURST shifter. of course i did not think to take pictures but it seems to look like your avatar. it was the factory boot (with orange stitching) and a hurst logo on the boot.

I would assume this is how it will look on factory orders.

Camaro “Inferno” Concept –
It looks like the custom creation of a tuner shop, but the Camaro INFERNO simply demonstrates how carefully selected accessories, available through Chevy dealers, can create a look like nothing else. The Camaro INFERNO is based on an SS/RS model in Inferno Orange and uses a combination of current and soon-to-be-released components.

Let me say this one more time. the HURST shifter (O.E. option) is NOT discontinued and has been shipping!. the V6 version however never made it to production because GM felt there was not enough interest with V6 owners to warrant the build..
