Which is why he is the only one who is able to get such times out of Mustangs. On top of that he doesn't tell everything he does to get the times out of the cars. He gives very limited info. So that 10.6 is basically similar to an individual owner time ran at a track rental and should not be compared to what we have seen from the Vettes and ZL1s. Most likely when that thing is tested same day same track it is going to do a low 11 and will probably get beaten by the C8.

jmack, myself, and the vast majority of us here are not impressed with the GT500. Nor are the Dodge guys. No, I'm not speaking for others, I'm just reporting what I see on the forums and pages. The GT500 is late to the party by years. 10s are no longer anything special. Try again. Better luck next time Ford.
Nope, according to the Mustang guys only GM uses rigged cars, prepped tracks and special testing methods to get the best times. Therefore every single Ford time is legit and the GT500 is the second coming of Jesus.

How is anyone not impressed by a 760hp street car, with every possible amenity available and a factory warranty? I hate to sound like that "old guy", but there was a time not too long ago when 225hp Fox-body Mustangs ruled the streets and $125k "super cars" only made 450hp. Even after the LS1 came out and changed the game, it still took several years, tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours in the garage to get anywhere near 700 reliable horsepower- and driveability/street manners almost always sucked. A warranty wasn't even a consideration.

I'm in awe of the number of 700hp cars that are available today. Whether you drink the koolaid from from Golden Chalice of GM/Ford/Dodge - it's a great F'n time to be a car guy. I'm not saying everyone has to like the Cobra/Hellcat/ZL1 - I personally dislike Dodge vehicles and would never consider owning one - but damn...you HAVE to respect the efforts of ALL of the manufacturers.

I suggest everyone enjoy and cherish this era of cars - with some of the nutjobs we have in political office, it ain't gonna last forever.

Wrong. multiple people ran 10s. Majority of never been on a dragstrip people ran 11.3 and below. Wait until experienced drag racers get their hand on it. then the real pain begins

Oh, and a ZL1 have been in experienced peoples hands for years, howd that turn out?

get off your high horse, its been beat to death, figuratively and literally

Okay, we will see. Remember the mark up on the 350? It's besides the point. At that price point there are plenty of better options. You'd have to be a hardcore ford guy.

What lap records? And your average person is not getting it for 73k. I don't care that you potentially have one on order. It doesn't seat 4, that's like saying the ZL1 seats 4.

What did it cost? How much of a markup did you pay? What options are on it? Post up any proof to support your statements.

Basically I think you are lying. I doubt anyone who is getting a GT500 would care what we have to say about it. And I doubt they would be spending as much time on C6 instead of being on M6G.

I'll wait.
