1 Camaro from each Generation, Which and why?

I've really been enjoying my Camaro and I got to thinking. It would be nice to have one Camaro from each of the six generations. Not necessarily the most rare from each generation, but definitely all V8s and all performers.

If you were going to buy one Camaro from each generation which ones would you pick and why?

I'll start. For the first generation I'm thinking a 1967 Camaro SS with the 396 engine and 4 speed manual. Why, because I won't be able to afford a 1967 Z28 given only about 600 were made. I want that in Marina Blue.

actually i wouldnt have to have all V8s on my list.the 6th gen 2.0T1LE would be a nice piece to have,i could still take my 2015 RS to work every day.a couple of early big blocks for car show nights, and an IROC just because you dont see them around any more.well, maybe id want a 5th gen ZL-1 also.

Well I have a 700 hp 2000 Camaro SS, and my 335 hp 2018 V6. That's enough for me lol

I had an ‘88 IROC-Z 5.7 in my youth. It was measurably worse than my current car in every way. But I will probably still buy another one as soon as I can clear out some more garage space...memories are too tough to just dismiss I guess.

third looked the coolest. But unless it was a total re-engineering using modern materials and hardware and electronics and engine from the unibody up, no way.

6th gen. I've had 3rd and 4th. 6th is in a different level.

much less flex, much more powerful, independent suspension, better quality manufacturing, more efficient. It's just an all around better car, despite being bigger.

1. 67 Z/28 for rarity , although 68 would do as well .
2. 70 RS/SS 396 for rarity
3. 90 IROC-Z. best iteration of the generation.
4. 02 Z28 or SS either one
5. 2012 SS
6. 2018 SS

I've owned a few - so I'll chime in.

I would start with the two I own because they are great cars and very complimentary.
2016 SS Convertible
1971 Pro-Touring build with 520hp 406, Hotchkis, StopTech brakes, etc.

Pics would help:

Then I would take a first gen '69 SS 396 375hp 4speed as my classic stock muscle car

Next I would add a '91 1LE Z28 5.0 / 5 speed

For the 4th gen I would get a 2002 SLP SS - make mine red please

And 5th gen ZL1

That's an easy one!

I would only have 2 Camaros, 1969 Z28 and my 2017 ZL1! 1969 Camaros are my favorite of the 1st gen. Don’t want any 3rd gen, had a 1982 Z28 305 4 speed and a 1987 IROC Z28 5 liter TPI with a 5 speed. 4th gen was a 1998 SS with a 6 speed and 5th gen was a 2010 SS LS3 6 speed that was heavily modded. And I did have a 2016 2SS with a 6 speed before the 2017 ZL1. I would only have the 2 mentioned above.

I think for a second gen a red 1970 Z28 with a 4 speed manual. Why because pretty quickly after that second gen stock horsepower went into the toilet.

1967 z 28 4 speed-first year of production
1970.5 z 28 4 speed- could be the best looking camaro
1991 Iroc z 5.7 liter year of college graduation
1994 z 28 6 speed-owned since new at age 25
2017 2 ss 6 speed
I actually own the last two, currently.

well I cant speak to every generation but I can tell you that in high school a buddy had a 67 Z28 in that dusky blue with the white stripes that was sweet(and none of us could appreciate what a car it was) but it did not compare to the 69 SS396 another friend had. Maybe because I grew up in deep Appalachia and the only track we had was the 1/4 run at Mountain Park Dragway. Nonetheless I graduated college and 3 days after getting my first job I pulled into the local chevy dealer here in FL and got a 1984 5 sp Z28 with the "monster" 305 which I drove home and begged my wife to let me keep. It was quite the car for the day. (hard to believe)
