I have been able to see some awesome vinyl wrapped ones on here over the years also with patriot and varied themes. Some of those would be nice....

I wanted to get my door panels and dash trim painted to match the color of my hockey stripes but I couldn't get any one that was confident they would be able to match the color.

I had a brain epiphany & thought why can't I use the same 3M vinyl that my stripes are made of? I also wanted the ability to put my car back to stock so instead of painting the door panels I had a vinyl graphics company use vinyl which exactly matches the stripes. I was also a little concerned that I may not like the door panels being gold so if I didn't like it I could simply pull the vinyl back off.

The vinyl has been on my door panels and my dash trim for more than 5 years and it's showing no signs of damage or the vinyl coming off of the door panels, etc. Here are some pictures of my doors with the vinyl on them. Sorry it's a little blurry, if you want to see a better picture let me know and I will take another picture.

Any specific brand of paint that is great for the door panels and other interior pieces?

So the question may be Paint vs vinyl. I have a big 'ol can of Bright Yellow that I had Napa mix for me that I have been dying to try out on those panels, but with the grain of the plastic, I just have no confidence it will come out looking right.

Not sure. My panels were smooth. They could probably be sanded smooth before applying the vinyl. I had my center console and seat bases sanded smooth before painting and they came out fine. Send Chris at Vengeance Grafix a PM and ask him. He made my vinyl and has made them for several others on here. I'm sure he has had someone try this on textured panels and could let you know how well it will, or will not work.
