2010 2SS on a Uhaul car carrier?

Anyone done it with an F-150? Uhaul doesn't recommend it because of ground clearance, but I beg to differ. I've put a mid 90's corvette on them and haven't had any problems.

Haven't done a Camaro, but when I had my '87 Callaway Corvette; it had a body kit and was lowered. Although I had to use a couple of pieces of 1"X6" boards in front of the ramps, it loaded/unloaded without any scrapping or other issues.

I was reading up on it some time ago and found uhaul has two different type of car trailers. One of them had problems IIRC it was width and opening the doors hits the wheel fender covers on the trailer. One person put boards under the car tires to elevate it for the doors to clear, another removed the fenders on the trailer then bolted them back on after loading unloading. Turns out there were more issues than just front end clearance as you drove it up.

Agree, you have to make sure you rent the one that has the wheel 'fender' that flips down on the left (driver's) side. That's the one I used when I hauled my Corvette from the port in San Francisco to Ogden, UT during one of my reassignments when I was in the Air Force. As stated earlier, had absolutely no issues loading, transporting or unloading. Ground clearance at the front spoiler and side skirts was < 2".

I’ve towed a Miata on one of these which is 4” off the ground with no prob. Yes, get the fold down fender if you can. These flat bed trailers are well built. I had my Camaro transported from FL to CA and it was costly.

I've done it with my Camaro and I had no problems. The only thing I had to do is unbolt the aluminum wheel stop brackets from the front of the trailer so they wouldn't scrape the bottom of the bumper.

Also, I had to use those plastic RV planks at the bottom of the ramps so the front end would clear when driving up the trailer. You could also use wood if you have that instead.

You get enough insurance claims for idiots ripping bumpers off loading onto the trailer...

They have three different gross weight ratings; 6k, 7k, 7.5k
The 7k and 7.5k are wider than the 6k

The drivers side fender folds down on all of them.

Your F-150 may be the limiting factor. What is the ball mount carrying capacity listed on your hitch?

Any 1500 or 150 has a max tow of 6500. 400 on the ball.

Used my 2016 1500 to tow a 7k with my lowered Camaro to Camarofest, need to stack some 2x6s to extend ramp, use some 2x6 to put under front wheels, remove front wheel stops from the trailer, have someone to guide you up, and go slowwww.
