You live in NJ? If its anywhere as cold as it is in IL today you're not going to have a problem with it being too hot. If anything, its probably going to have a long dry time. You might want to pull it in the garage to dry. Any other reason you're worried about the sun?

itll be getting up to around 50 today...im worried about the unproctected paint after the dawn wash, and arent you not supposed to do this whole thing in direct sunlight?

I'd be more concerned w/ surface temp than anything else. But again, my personal experience w/ zaino is very limited, so you may want to ask them directly. W/ that being said, do you have any shade that you can work under? You can always grab one of those folding tents from costco for about a hundred and change. Very worth while investment if you ask me.

Yup, I have a canopy set up in the driveway (10'x20') - washing, waxing, and unfortunately, that's where The Beast stays - outside :(

Like Chris mentioned, the surface temp. is what you need to be concerned about.
I've Zainoed many a car outside, in sunlight, provided the temp. of the paint surface wasn't high. Also, make sure its a relatively calm day as you don't want contaminants in the air lying on the surface as you await polish removal. |

I'm pretty sure the surface temps would be perfectly acceptable, I'll check on my car when I go to lunch. It is 54F outside here; and we are at the same lattitude in NJ vs. IL. The sun should have just about the same effect. I'll be washing the car tonight with no paint spotting concerns. I'll be using nice hot soap water just so I'm not freezing cold.

Just be careful when it starts to get much colder out... you dont want to get in the habit of washing w/ hot water. hot water + freezing temps + glass, can = cracked glass

Zaino says 70F is ideal for application, based on my car's temp this afternoon I'd say you're good to go. My car is Imperial Blue Metallic, a pretty dark color. Because its cold out the dry times will probably be long, but you should be fine.
