Less weight or more width?

I have a 2LT convertible. Thinking of a squared set up. Should I go 20 x 9 and shave 7lbs. or 20 x 10 gain half a pound from 19in stock now. I think the tire is the same on both 9 and 10 in. Thanks

I have a similar question, coming from RS tires and looking to go autocross.

Wanting to square up, but unsure whether to square at 245 or 275.

More width (sounds like the old Miller Lite commercial, no?)

I'd match the tires to the wheels and look for combinations that are close to the same tire diameter that you already have.

Don't worry about the weight. On the street it's not going to matter, and even for fairly serious timed competition it's not as big a factor as people like to think it is.

Either 245/45-20's on 20x9's or 275/40-20's on 20x10's are what I'd choose between.
