Where can I order an AC clutch coil?

It turned out the plug on the coil is busted which is why my clutch isn't engaging. I called the dealer and they no longer sell any parts for the AC compressors.

Ive been finding that many want to sell you the entire compressor anymore. Used to be able to buy just the clutch. Hell you used to be able to get the shaft seal. Good luck. Maybe a junk yard?

U can get the clutch by itself new, no need for a junk yard. New clutch about 35 bucks

From a dealer or where? That is what he is asking.

I believe you are thinking of the ac idler pulley. They are around $35. I cant believe the clutch assembly would be that cheap. I havent found one yet that looks right, but Ill keep looking OP.

A guy had one on ebay for $59. It beats a $400 compressor.
It's a shame the dealer no longer sells them. It comes apart by removing 1 bolt and 2 clips.

Im busy this morning, but I l ready looked at rock auto, advanced, parks geek and NAPA. None of them show just the clutch. Make sure the guy is giving you the right one. Get picks. Maybe his is used.

I received the clutch coil yesterday. Reassembled the clutch and installed it. Now I have nice cold A/C.

i went through this earlier this year but i was searching for a new coil and not a clutch. i ended up buying a compressor that was taken off of an LS3 and took the coil from that. did the install in the car (1 torx bolt and two retainer clips hold everything down)

no one has the rebuild kits anymore. i emailed 4-5 parts shops and called a few places. dealerships couldn't find any either

glad you got it fixed though! watch out when putting the belt back on. thats how i broke my coil plug off of the coil
