Honestly, I learned the laws of physics because of this V6 Camaro lol Heavy Car, get the bigger motor, works a lot less harder than the smaller motor to get it moving. To be clear, I bought the V6 solely for insurance reasons. Not for gas or cost of car. 600 a month for a v6 or 800 for a v8 Keep in mind I got the car almost 6 years ago and I was a lot younger

We all gas up at the same time and between the V6 & SS it's about $3-$4 difference (I have a V6 & always use Super)

As mentioned earlier, your fuel economy is going to depend more on your driving style and whether you're cruising on the highway or stuck in city traffic than it is on whether the car is a V6 or V8.
My car (V8, M6, TVS 2300, making about 570 HP) can get as high as 27 mpg (~10.1L/100 km) if I'm on a long highway drive and keeping it around 100-110 kph. In the city it can be as low as 10 mpg (~27L/100 km) because boost + 2nd or 3rd are a crapload of fun I only use Sunoco 94 and fill up when I'm down to about 1/4 tank left. My first fill up this year was just over $55.00 for 43L. Last year it would have been closer $65.00 for the same fill up.

First trip to work and back, 77 kms round trip on Saturday, 3/4 highway.
15.4 L/100. Was 14.2 but got lucky in the home stretch and caught 3 or 4 red lights.
