I'm on the west coast and drive up I75. In the past have met up with other Camaros just north of I4.

Where I-75 & I-4 , I-4 & Turnpike or I-75 and Turnpike. If the meet happens with people from down south, their shortest way they would be up Turnpike and then I-75,so the meet would be at I-4 and Turnpike. If that's the case it would add 100 miles to my trip, but it would be more fun than drive as lone wolf.

Christopher is coming as well. That time are you all going. I have a motorcycle safety rally to attend until 12:30 then I'm going to check Christopher out early and head up that way I figure about 1:30..

Just a question. In the past have never had an issue with going too fast but now that my car is starting to run in the 9s, best so far 9.872@139.68mph, am I going to have problems at GMP with no cage at Pony Wars?

Hard to answer....as you probably know....SGMP has just changed hands, but as far as I can tell, they are not making too many changes.

I don't think you will I have been there many time in the last few months. And seen a lot of street car there running mid 9s with no cage and no problems at the track.

Thanks, good to hear. I'm booked already and always enjoy Pony Wars. I made my first pass down a drag strip at Pony Wars! I think it was a high 13 second pass!!

I will be able to tell the exact same story, this will be my very first pass as well, probably about the same time if I don't mess up the take off or have issues with 3rd, after I put a Hurst short shifter (more for the nostalgic look) is a little trickier to get to 3rd if I am shifting really fast.
Also do I need a helmet?

Most tracks require a helmet if you run under 14 seconds, and you will do that easy after a run or two. Let me just warn you, this shit gets addictive! I have gone from a 2010 SS that ran low 12s with a few mods to a 2013 ZL1 with over 700 whp that runs high 9s. When I bought my Z I said that it was going to be so fast I wouldn't need to touch a thing. That thought lasted exactly one week!!

Don't I know it... I had a Porsche 944, aka money pit, so I was like, ok I will buy this 1LE make the car payments but I won't need to do anything else to it, fast forward 5 months... CAI, Hurst Shifter, Oracle concept side mirrors, oracle demon eyes halos, fog halos and wheel leds, Technostalgia Rapid Fire Sequential Taillights, custom back window graphic and bought and to be install BBK TB, Apex Lowered springs and Oracle mail slot knight rider light. Also I am on queue for Corrado custom hoodliner.
All that and I did even tough the motor for warranty reasons, but I don't know how long I will last tough.
Oh yeah just order a custom helmet which will look something like this.

OK guys. Talked with the folks over at Steeda over the weekend, and it looks like we have the race categories all worked out. The new owners of the track are on board, and we are all set to go, so let's get everyone signed up for PONY WARS......let's make this the best showing of Camaros ever!!
