Not 25-50+% of ethanol. 10% is a lot different than what you are attempting. Youre playing with fire big time in my eyes. Normal ethanol blended fuel has 10% at most. I only run ethanol free as much as possible honestly.

okay this is fine.. now if I run flex sensor and tune .. what is the most our factory injectors and fuel pump will support?... can you then do 50/50 mix ?

Factory injectors would support 41.6 pounds at 58 PSI

Set it up properly so you dont blow it up. Even with that you will not see much of a gain. Unless you have a blower gains are minimal. Burn off what you have now and dont do it again until you get tuned, get bigger injectors, and add a ZL1 pump. That's the minimum you should have to play with E85.

Why are you risking so much for such a minimal gain? We’re talking maybe 5 hp. You would be safer just running octane booster.

honestly haven't seen or heard of any LS cars blowing up by mixing a little bit with Gasoline.... I could see running straight ethanol... the car does noticeably run better

That’s because everyone knows to just get tuned for it.... ethanol requires about 30% more than 93 octane just because of how it evaporates and the way it combusts. What kind of backwoods LS cars have you seen running 50/50 mix without a tune? I bet they don’t run long.

Actually it would be 30% more if I was running full e85... you have any actual data logs??? orrr

The percentage for required fuel goes up with your ethanol content it’s not just 30% or nothing.....The cars computer will only adjust up to 15%. I bet if we logged your car it would be lean. Why did you think it was a good idea to just mix e-85 without a tune? Do you see other people doing it? No. Because the car will blow up. Why would they even make a flex fuel kit if what you’re doing is the correct way? Some people man, but its your car have fun while it lasts.

"E85" can vary between 51% to 83%. So mixing 93 with "E85" by volume can change with every fill-up mixing. Your car will adjust using a larger amount of ethonal blend to a certain point. Your O2 sensors will read a lean condition and the ecm will adjust the LTFT, long term fuel trims, adding fuel. Iirc, after +15% ltft, you'll get a cel, check engine light. If your able to, log the ltft. It will be positive with the higher blend. In order to get consistent ethonal blends, you can pick up a cheap tester. It's a glass bottle that you add fuel and water in to, shake it up and read the results on the graduated scale. Do this for 93 and "E85". Then you could blend with consistency. You could then see what blend gives you about a +10% ltft. Then continue to use that blend. Imo, it’s just not worth the hassle for a small gain and potential problems.

Duuuuude, nice!!! Can you do a 85% E85 / 15% gas mix without the pump/tune you need and let us know how it feels? Make sure the dyno guys run it hard so we know the real effects!
