My more important question is this. Why was Danial banned and this thread allowed to continue. That doesn’t make sense to me. I know his side of the story fwiw.

That sucks. I get the no politics but he was sharing a family memory. I have my own negative feelings on bans on this site.

Just best to stay away from any of that. Sadly, the ban hammer gets used way too often and for the slightest of reasons anymore. I get the potential issues, but I didn't see anything political in this thread other than to simply exercise a Constitutional right, if you're eligible. Minority Report comes to mind if this is the case. Getting hammered for what MIGHT happen vs. what actually happens.
