I have the JLT on my car..... Or the tube for that matter. I didn't care for the plastic air box, I thought it looked cheap and it didn't look like it would seal very well. The shop I deal with used an SS rotofab air box with the tube. They added the JLT with a 108 TB so I'm not sure what if any gains it would have on it's own. The first run was with a 90mm LS2 TB and rotofab. I picked up 55 hp on back to back runs. Again my engine is heavily modded so I'm not sure what it would gain on a close to stock setup.

We have sold more ZL1 units in the last 3 months than we did almost all of last year, I am not sure if guys are just working on them more as they are garaged for the winter or what, trust me we are not complaining about it!

Our unit is very popular with ZL1 owners, will require no tune, and will net you some solid RWHP gains without making any other changes or getting a tune. On a stock ZL1, depending on the Dyno and the day, you can expect to see a 21-24 RWHP gain very consistently. Our airbox is insulated and enclosed to reduce heat soak from the engine bay, so if you track the car at all it will help keep IAT's as low as possible. Our unit is made 100% here in the USA, has a nice powder coat finish, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

If you have any questions about our CAI, feel free to PM/EMAIL/CALL us and we would be happy to help you in any way that we can. Take care and enjoy that ZL1!

my experience with JLT (mostly on mustangs) is they are kind of of a cheap product IMO.

I just did a cobra jet swap on a 2013 5.0 and we ditched the JLT that was on it and did the ford racing CAI much better piece IMO.

no first hand camaro expecrience with JLt but not a fan of the product as a whole but they are cheap $299 I think. there markting is lame too IMO. some how they state they got 30hp over competing CAI's and I just can't see it. most CAI's are lucky to make 30whp period hood down.

If you read carefully they are claiming that on a heavily modified ZL1. It's believable but I'd rather have a real customer back them up.

Personally I went with CAI intake for my ZL1. I prefer the enclosed design as the climate in here is very hot and dusty throughout the year.

Has anyone tried AIRAID's intake? Right now I'm thinking about going with CAI or RotoFab. ADM looks good too, but I see most of you have either RotoFab or CAI.

K&N builds a nice CAI also but it's a bit pricey. It's nice you have some choices. When I got my car it was Rotofab or Rotofab

I have the Air raid unit. I have not installed it yet. I plan to this spring along with other mods as the Air Raid requires a tune. One thing I like about this is looks physically larger the some of the other CAI I've seen that said, it takes up more room in a sense that a Lingenfelter coolant reservoir won't fit ( I know it was designed to by RotoFab ).
Finding the right coolant reservoir right now is some what limited, should that be a future mod you might be planning.

The Roto-fab intake is well proven with the ZL1 crowd-both without a tune and with major modifications. It's a great start no matter how far you are going with your mods. We've had this intake on the market for about 3 years and there are literally thousands of ZL1s out there using our system. We have several reputable dealers on this forum and on this thread in particular that can or have shared their experience with our intake system.
Our testing showed about 25 HP gains with the intake alone. Many customers have reported 30 HP gains. Keep in mind this is with the intake alone. Once you start combining a tune and/or other power additives you are no longer comparing "apples to apples".
Several of our dealers offer performance packages using the Roto-fab intake system. The gains vary based on the package, but 75 HP is very attainable and affordable. Of course, ZL1s using our system have exceeded 1,000 HP! These packages are also attainable, but not quite as affordable!

In addition to the Roto-fab CAI system itself, we offer the Big Gulp adjustable air duct, two versions of W/W reservoir relocation kits and a variety of cosmetic engine compartment products.

Does your windshield washer fluid need to be relocated if you install a Roto-fab? I'm looking to install this myself. I read that the K&N intake does not require a fluid relocation and also does not require a tune. As far as a tune, I think I'm going to wait to get a tune when I get more things done. My ZL1 is completely stock right now.
