RPM 4L80e ?
So I have an RPM Stage 5 4L80e swapped into my 2015 1LE, and I was wondering what gear /rpm you other 4L80e and th400 guys are shifting into at the 1/4 stripe? Mine is at 6400 rpm in 3rd gear when almost crossing at the stripe, and I have been manually shifting into 4th (overdrive)before the stripe. I was told to leave it in 3rd gear. Thoughts or suggestions?

Do you lock the converter?

leave it in third and if you need more rpms, as stated above lock it up in third but only if you have a multi disc converter.

Converter is a single disc Vigilante 3400, and I don't know if it's locking up or not.

definitely do not lock it up! you will trash lock up. so if you need less rpms, go to a taller tire/ numerically lower gear.
Definitely stay out of 4th. I didn't have any luck with a 4l80 and wot 3-4 shifts
