any codes gents? since I too have a 2010 this could be relevant...not currently any probs...replaced batt with AGM style about 1yo ago...I know the BCM controls a boat load of the cars electronics sooo...

Problem fixed! Just buy a new alternator from gm. Problem solved. 3 bad ones from oreileys.

you bought a GM alternator? ewwwwww /tease
Knee deep into home theater at the moment but, Camaro is next I'm starting with a built alternator.

Good to hear that you got it fixed! As stated before, after having worked for O"Reilly's for a number of years, alternators and starters are two things that I will never buy refurbed. I would actually rather take my chances with GM used.

i’m having this same issue with my alternator and starter which is high output alternator and also a mini torque starter they are both less than 1 year old and I got them tested and they both failed . I can drive my car for about a hour or so and once I turn off it hesitates or doesn’t want to turn back on and my stability control and traction comes on and my rpm’s stick to 0 and I have to wait about a hour or so and then every thing works like normal .
