I’m getting excited! How’s the hood clearance looking?
Also, what’s the location differences of the center of the throttle body vs stock? Help know what CAIs might have the ability of mating up (something ProE should be easy to provide).
What are you doing for fuel enrichment on the Camaro?
Thanks Whipple and Lethal for allowing us to share in the R&D Excitement

P.S. Boy, look at the height of this thing. Perhaps its just the angle, but It sure makes me think....
Mad Max Camaro, the last of the big V8s!

I would have to get those measurments, trying to get off to get to Vegas for SEMA. Everything fits under the hood, no issues. TB is slightly forward from stock, almost identical to Magnusson's so those CAI systems will work with little to no changes.

Currently has 63lb/hr fuel injectors and MSD pump booster with custom settings (new version with programmable volt table).

This pulley clears the hood by .25", just enough. The standard kit has .75".

Thanks,
Dustin

given an identical vehicle setup, which would make more hp and tq, the maggie or the whipple? how about the dyno specs? which one hits sooner? I'm trying to narrow my choices down between he two?

You're correct. But, you have to ask yourself how much power do you need. TVS 2300 is capable of making more power than most would want. Obviously, the bigger Whipple could make more. The TVS2300 on my vette makes 672 at the wheels. More than enough for me.

someone is going to have to get nifty and make the fuel rail covers work. That just looks bad with all the tubes and wires everywhere.

My 672 was done with 8.5psi on 93 octane. It included blower cam and bolt ons though. It's pretty hard to compare different blowers on different cars.

Dynojet's are pretty consistent from one to the other .

OT
your car just sounds crazy with 672 rwhp in a vette !

Sorry but you're wrong. The beauty of a larger SC is more power at the same boost.

If you swapped out the Whipple 2.9L for their 3.4L you would see about a +25whp difference at 8psi. This is why I'm going big, I want to keep the boost as low as I can and still make BIG power.

Not argueing your point, just wondering why that would be. I would think both chargers would be pretty effecient at low boost levels. I know the smaller charger would run into heat problems at higher boost levels, but both chargers being discussed are capable of way more. Seems like the bigger one would take more power to turn
