Im going to post in this thread as well...i have been to the track zero times this year...im making a point to go after Labour Day long weekend, Whatever Saturady night that has zero chance of rain.2.5 hours driving i had to come home once last year because of rain. My best before gears with just boltons was 12.8 @112. Added 391 gears and went 12.7 @ 109. MYy best 60 was 1.9. Now Im hoping to really lower my times with the 3200 stall and Nitto dr. My buddy finally had his tune figured out after his longtube header install on his 2011 5.0 and put down 425 rwhp on the dyno. So its going to be some smack talk and some good runs....ill vid everything i can lol.

tks! now that I know what traction feels like I can concentrate on consistency...spinning for 2 sec out of the hole does not help...and maybe after the next trip I will find out if sticking with the DR's will work or moving to slicks is the way to go..just like being able to drive to my track(lulz 10 min away!)

awesome and welcome..post all you want bro...regarding the Nittos(05R's?)..they didn't really start to hook up until I got the PSI down to 20 HOT...drove to the track..let air out and then checked/adjusted after first run...per my vid burn out is a 5k clutch dump in 2nd with no brakes(RPM gets close to 100mph!)...the Nittos don't need much heat(had pea size pebbles BURIED in the rubber after driving back home and pulling the DR's off!)...with auto I would think once smoke starts to show should be good to go...

If you don't take at least a couple of 10ths off the 60 gonna need to take a look at the rear suspension...before the BMR T/A's I had wheel hop with street tires...again per the vid my wheels are spinning for like 2 sec after launch before they hook..but no BOG(WAHOOO)...and ZERO wheel hop...

If you get them DRs good and hot and that will help. I notice a big difference if my burnout is not very good before a launch. I'm waiting on my line lock to arrive so I can get more consistent burnouts.

Thanks for the help. I havnt had much of an opportunity to launch hatd and test the tire and stall. I was foot breaking and trying to build revs before launching. Gossip told me to flash the converter instead. I tried that on a 0rivate road against a built 80 malibu. The car launched way harder and seem to pull hard as well....cant wait.

With a drag radial its been my experience your going to spin them to a good 60' a biased ply you will per say hook and book but you better have the clutch slip or it will be bog city. Something has to give a little to get these cows out of the hole lol

I usually get about 3-4" of rim spin for every 5-6 runs. Sucks..... still with 18psi

Iran 14psi in mine and thats where they seemed to be happiest for my set up. Was fortunate on my bogarts didn't have any tire slip, but I always spun and never dead hooked.

current DA is 794...radar has some rain but hopefully like 2 weeks ago will clear for tonight...

I had the DR's mounted with bead sealer and marked the rim/tire so any spin will show...last run out launchin at 5k (18 psi)had me spinnin the first 60 before the hook(video)...with the lower psi(gonna start at 16) plan is to again launch at 5k and hopefully get a hook sooner and not bog...with the lower DA motor should be a bit stronger and help without havin to go any higher on launch rpm...if that still has too much spin will try lower psi in 1 psi increments...we shall see and appreciate all your tips and insite! keep 'em comin!
