Magiaone, can't comment on the black - my seats are orange and black and I still use a towel mainly because I don't want them to fade. Have had mine for almost 3 years, only tiny issues and great car overall. Barely broken in at 6k but I can tell it is built to last. Your right, I chose the Camaro because other mfrs didn't have a decent selection of verts. Plus it was the coolest car and still is.

I have the black leather in my vert in mi. It's hot in the sun in the summer, no way around it.

But not as bad as when I had black leather in my transam in Arizona.

Main gripes are the rattles. The top isn't too bad, but the windows and dash and seat belt retractors are terrible.

I drive through winter, no problems in deep snow with blizacks . Except when it's deeper than the bumper.

Hard to wash in the winter. Can't use autowash with the top. Mine is hand wash only, but I would rather auto wash in the winter and repair swirls and scratches in spring.

also depends on what you're getting for the charger. make sure they aren't gouging you there.

Right-on regarding the Camaro Convertible. No other manufacturer offers a decent convertible with space at a reasonable price. Plus, the 5th Gen. looks just awesome.

More good info.

My concern with the black is the kids sitting in it - but to be honest, its not like I would leave it anywhere with the hood down and out of sight.

As the the charger, no the dealer is being very helpful, however, the first dealer i spoke to embarrassed themselves............

Baba, +1, nice car and pic - looking forward to those top down, green background days!

Magiaone, I'm no expert but it seems like this would be a good time of year to get a good deal on a vert - dead of winter could help in negotiating. Good luck & please keep us posted!

Price would be hard to beat especially if out the door includes tax. I was eyeballing this one locally that has 142 miles.
