How low (in $$) do you think 2016 SS's will be going for in a year?

Hoping I'll be able to find one under $30k. The dream would be finding a 2SS with MRC and NPP for under $35k in a year but I don't know if that's going to happen.

Anyone else waiting for prices on used ones to drop a bit before getting one? Anyone else have predictions on how low prices should be on them in a year?

That's tough to say.

Right now brand news cars are 20% off and that's something GM is offering, so the negotiation should start after.

Look at some reviews and see what some people are paying as of right now.

xray, you dont need to hope. You will have deals well under 30k for SS.

I would say between 25 and 28 depending on the mileage and options, before the negotiations. You will be able to buy 2SS with the options you want for less than 35K, easily.

Yeah, I actually think that's a fairly safe bet. It'll obviously be a decently high milage example (25,000+), but I can the used market being full of 1SS selling for sub $30k by the time 2017 is up. Maybe even just north of $25,000 if the depreciation curve is similar to the 5th gen. Remember: This is a mass production car, and some people drive *a lot*.

Here's a used 2SS for $37,000 and only 500 miles. Pretty much the first hit while searching my local area:
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...ngId=433174212

So it isn't hard to imagine a high-milage 1SS selling for substantially less by the end of 2017. Depreciation is a b*tch.

If you are ready to buy you may not even need to wait one year. You could get your wish in 6 months if you keep looking and willing to travel .

Oh, I kind of tailored it to right now.

I figured he was more so looking for a great deal, because right now is the time to buy.

But yeah a year from now I can see that easily happening.

Yeah..I wanted it now and I found the v6 that I wanted with all the options I wanted with the color I wanted and 20% off and another 5% off but......

I am thinking in a year or less I could get the SS or 2SS for less, used.

I dont know...whatever happens, I will buy one of these... the best looking body style since third gen. I still have my 89.

I was thinking the same thing. One of the local dealers out here had a few new 2SS models with MRC and had them 20% off MSRP-making them about 37K. They were gone in a flash. I checked Car Gurus and Auto Trader and saw a couple of low mileage CPO cars for the mid to upper 30's (advertised). High 20's to 30K is not far off. I was going to wait a year and look for a used A-10 ZL1, but I test drove a 2SS and liked it. I got rid of my 911TT and thought I would miss the power but it was surprisingly quick. If I can be patient I'll wait a year for the ZL1.

Yes sir-when I looked at used 2SS's for sale and specifically entered the key words "magnetic ride control" it only brought up a few examples and most were in the high 30's-two I think were listed over 40K, but it won't be long before 30k comes around.

I paid $29,444 for a brand new '16 2SS. The deals are out there, you just have to look and make phone calls.
