Happy BAD Friday!!!
This is what I get for owning nice things at a townhouse.
Hit and run, but multiple witnesses and statements. Also lives in same area as me so not sure how she thought she was going to get away with it. Let’s see how many weeks/months this drags out now. Private property which makes it tricky, but seems like the cop is actually going to try and help. Really hoping this gets settled before taking it to court..... Plus quoted damage was estimated at $500, my cover is $200 alone... the paint and the dent on the bumper are at least $500 right there...such a depressing day. Can’t keep anything safe or protected no matter how hard you truly try. Good Friday my a$$.

Thats sad. It's hard to keeps things nice, People don't care. I had a female door ding my classic car (in front of me) when I confronted her she yelled "It's just a car!" Last I checked, mercy killing is still illegal.

But yeah, to the OP, although its private property, she committed a hit and run and caused property damage. It doesn't matter where that happens, it's still illegal. The only laws that are not enforceable on private property are general traffic laws. (stop signs, traffic lights, yield signs, ect.) Safety laws, property damage, ect are still enforceable. |

Like OP, maybe she thought he covers junk, cause it's a eye sore...WTF. I am lucky (or unlucky) depends how you look at it. I have a handicap placard. So I am blessed with large parking spots, away from the non-drivers.

Sorry to see what happened
Hopefully, she just got scared and realizes her mistake and makes this an easy process to get resolved. Good luck ! |

Assuming she wasn't smart enough to clean it up, there should be some paint transfer evidence and possibe damage to her vehicle. Probably drives a battlecruiser.
Sorry about this. I know the dangers of living in close proximity to people who don't give a crap all too well. |

I live in a townhouse as well, but thankfully have a garage. It's the only way to go when you have a nice car. That and parking far away in parking lots. Nobody else cares about your car, sadly.

Could’ve been worse. It will be fixed and you will never notice it again.

I never get the point of hit and runs. Especially if there's witnesses.

I hate when stuff like this happens. No respect for someone else's property.
