GM will back you up on this if the dealership doesn't make it right really fast. The lowbies at the shop may not see the importance of good customer service but I guarantee the people at corporate do.
Honestly there seems to be a high percentage of fast food level employees at dealerships. They aren't passionate about cars or their jobs. |

yep take it to a different body shop. the dealer will do it as cheap as possible. the only place you can lift a 6th gen is by the pinch welds. you should get the zl1 addons jack pads. its the only safe way to lift these cars

Right now I have 2 solid dealers that I can trust. I think those jack pads are good insurance if I'm ever away from those trusted dealers.

Thank you so much everyone for your concern and shared experiences. This has been and is going to be an agonizing three day weekend while I wait for officials from the dealership and local consumer law attorneys to reopen.
From some of the research I've done it's not unreasonable to sue for a new vehicle if the cost of repairs is greater than 10% of the original purchase price, where in this case from my own price estimations the damage is pushing 20% of the original purchase price. New front fenders, new door shells (not even the assembly), new side-skirts, all unpainted, is roughly $5,000 (just parts). Keep in mind the whole vehicle was also ceramic coated. To add insult to injury I reviewed some of the footage from my dashcam. In the video where the tech is bringing my vehicle in for the tire change he decides to rev my car over and over for the fellow techs. My Camaro has the A8 transmission and the tech is putting it into neutral, revving it, and putting it back into drive, which has its own plethora of mechanical risks. One of the other techs states to him something along the line of "be careful with those scissor lifts, they tend to get caught up on that skirt," and the tech driving my car completely disregards the warning. I don't understand why people can't be respectful to the property of others. All I have to say is if you don't have a dash cam, get one. I've never been in a car accident and this thing has been worth tens if not hundreds of times what I paid for it. To be honest I just want to be out of this vehicle. Unfortunately this vehicle also suffered from the A8 shudder and I've been in and out of another dealership back in Richmond, VA numerous times over the past year. The body damage acquired from this most recent dealership may disqualify me for Lemon Law, meaning I can't replace this car at all without selling it, and then who knows what sort of devaluation I'll incur from this recent damage. |

OP - a member posted this in December 2016 after having a similar experience. This might help you show how the dealer damaged your ride.

Still amazing that Chevy dealers have employees who never lifted a gen 6 Camaro.

Please tell me this isn't the dealer I take my car to! I live in Roanoke. I'm thinking you went to Shelor.

I did not go to Berglund. I won't directly identify the dealership in my area (Christiansburg, VA) that's responsible for the damage in case of any legal repercussions. I just know that I didn't go to Berglund as it was too far away.

That's why I got a Quick Jack BL-7000SLX for mine, I don't trust some of the wads at my local dealership, I have 3 jack pads on each side, the very front one for my floor jack and the other 2 for the quick jack, now I can service my 17 in the comfort of my carport.
