They are disappearing

Got my 23 over the weekend, not quite exactly what I wanted (Blue instead of Black) but I'm still happy with what I got.

Just for the heck of it I've been watching the Chevy website inventory and it has gone down from about 1300 cars on the 19th (2000 mile radius of SLC, UT) when final allocations went out and I grabbed the closest one I could to what I wanted to only 924 left.

Granted the website doesn't show all new cars on all lots, just the ones that have chosen to post them there but still a drop of about 25% in inventory since the 19th is probably close to all cars so if your looking at something better get to it and if your looking for an exact car your probably going to have to get the closest you can and build in the options you wanted.

We have come a long way since I ordered and bought my 2018. I picked the dealer that gave me the biggest discount, ordered exactly what I wanted, and took delivery 2 months later.

Now it's a mad scramble for the last cars of an era, requiring good luck to get one that you didn't even spec.

Congrats! Riverside blue is an awesome color! Now put a ceramic or graphene coating on it ASAP!

That's a bit out of my price range right now, I'm focused on tint and dashcam, looking at about $1400 for both installed.

I traded in my 2016 2 lt/rs vert with 128 k miles for a 2023 2ss vert in june. Got 11,400 for a trade in (and the fabric top was covered in an adhesive residue from the middle rubber layer).

Wanted vivid orange, but settled for red hot. Glad I got it while I could!

Yep, in the not so distant future all you'll be able to get is a used Camaro.

It also doesn't help that the total run of camaros is lower this year than in previous years. I wanna say like 2400 ZL1's were built last year, and this year will be lucky to get half of that.

A lot of companies have lesser grades of ceramic coating that can be done fairly cheap. My advice would be to perhaps look into that.

Most of the top end ceramic coatings will last 5-6 years (they say longer of course). You should be able to find people who do the 1-2 year coatings and those would be cheaper than the more expensive/longer lasting ones.

I use ceramic 22 bucks an elbow grease lol. If you do ceramic coat it& keep it in the garage, it will attract enormous amount of dust.

Someone posted the 2024 inventory search (https://www.chevrolet.com/locate-inv...rand=Chevrolet), I couldn't find it myself from the front of the chevy website but there are 4012 2024's there and were down to 894 23's. big thing about the 24's it looks like they are coming LOADED and thus higher priced.

New numbers, 679 23's and 4613 24's.

I have been watching the 24's come up in numbers but I just saw a drop of about 50, considering the end of production is just around the corner (saw an article about the last ZL1 engine just being put together the other day) the numbers are only going to go down.
