This is pretty cool news.

It is what GM hasn't done in a long time. A base model Camaro V8. It's not an SS, but has the beefier SS parts that are really needed, and still sports 455HP. This car may be substantially lighter than an SS.

The 'LT1 V8'.

I have a feeling this thing is going to sell like crazy. There is a certain crowd that want a no frills, entry level V8 Camaro and now they have it, cheaper than a base 5.0 GT.
Also, really glad to see they fixed the face of the SS.

Good improvement for the line up, anxious to see all the details. I don't see where they are putting MY link back in though, I like that feature for opening gates/garage doors, gets rid of other remotes needed for those. Now if they will allow the 1LE wheel/tire combo on other models.....

The new changes are great. The 2020 looks better then previous years of the generation so far. I would actually get one, maybe even the LT1 model. I wouldve named the new model something different though. Most likely the name will confuse ppl 1LT, LT1.
Also this LT1 reminds me of my old Formula how must ppl thought it was just a v6. I loved it.

They addressed all of the major issues from MY 2019! Bowtie location, massive black front end, no budget performance options. I really didn't like MY 2019 but am back on board for MY 2020. I'm excited to see a Rally Green LT1 on the dealer lot.

It would be cool if they gave a free front upgrade for people who bought the 2019.

I believe the LT1 will be a huge hit!

$35k for a 455hp pony car? For as much flak as they've received over the 6th Gen pricing and the MY '19 front-end styling on the SS, they have truly listened to their customers. They've addressed both the appearance issue and the pricing issue. The LT1 is a blank canvas. $35k is peanuts for a car like that. Buy one, dump a few grand into mods and make it your own!

What a difference 10 years makes, my 2010 2SS in June 2009 was $36k out the door ($40k after taxes).

This is all that I wanted in 2013 when I was in the market for my Camaro. I didn't want to spend the money just to "upgrade" to a v8 and get a lot of things that I didn't want in the car.

I wound up just buying a 2013 1LS, and enjoying it for 5 years while the used-car prices for the SS went down, then picked up my 2SS that I have now.

But if they offered this type of package in 2013, that is 100% what I would have purchased.

It is a shame that car prices have gone up so much, that the base model v8 is around 36k after fees and crap, but it's awesome that GM is going to move this way to offer a cheap thrill.

This is also going to be huge for people that want to build a cheaper and reliable drag car.

All GM needs to do now is learn how to properly market this thing. It is well known GM has the worst advertising/marketing team around. They need to take a look at what Chrysler and Ford have been doing.

The base model LT1 is right up my alley. Would very much purchase that..... except I'm happy with no car payment right now.

Great move GM, but I keep my cars for the long-term.
