Have fun Don!
Actually, it's not too bad down here. The beautiful weather more than makes up for not alot to do. Supposed to be in the high 70's through at least next week. And it's just a few hours drive to the coast or Phoenix.
Yuma is getting a pretty good sized year-round population what with the Proving Grounds, Marine Corps Air Station and alot of farms and major car manufacturer testing too.
We are just getting a new Yuma 5th Gen Camaro club started. We have our first run this Saturday, reminds me of the first ever CCOTR run to Laramie.
We have a dozen or so cars supposed to show up. Most down here are
6 banger cars, but a few SS's.

Flew out here to Jersey for my oldest daughters wedding this weekend.Saw a few camaro's but they all look in pretty bad shape with all the snow. Man I'm glad to say I'm FROM Jersey. what a sh..hole. That would be mostly in the Newark area where I grew up. plenty of nice areas out here. Wife made me promise not to pick the accent or attitude again....Hard not to.

If anyone is interested doing the "Pfadt Track Attack" at the Camaro5fest, it opened up for entry to the general public yesterday. They had 40 morning and 40 afternoon spots that filled up - but not everyone confirmed. I registered for the morning session yesterday ($110), and by my count on the thread - looks like 19 spots still available. Looks like one Wyoming member joined in too.

Side note: Larry and I joined the "Fest in the West 1320" LS3 versus L99 showdown - others are welcome (DON???) http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122860
Maybe Brian and Ted?????

In keeping with our tradition of being an official sponsor of Camaro5, Pfadt Race Engineering is proud to bring you the driving experience of a life time - The Official Camaro5 Fest II Track Attack event! This event, to be held all day Friday, April 15th will officially be a High Performance Driver's Education (HPDE) event as well as a fantastic opportunity for you to do what you love MOST with your Camaro: Drive it fast!

The HPDE (High Performance Driver's Education) is a day that is dedicated to getting you the most seat time possible on track, in a learning environment that is safely controlled. The Pfadt HPDE event will give students one-on-one instruction with a personal driving instructor who will ride in your car and walk you through the basics of how to drive properly and safely on a race track. Skills covered will include proper braking and acceleration points, learning the apex of a turn, and understanding basic car dynamics. We will be on the Bondurant West track, right on the grounds of the Camaro5 Fest. There will be run groups for all skill levels (yes, first timers!), as well as classroom sessions to help you learn the basics of high-performance driving. The opportunity exits for those who master the basics to move into learning more advanced techniques.

This OFFICIAL CAMARO5 FEST II TRACK DAY represents another exciting reason to attend the Fest. Everyone knows what a blast last year's fest was, and this year looks even better. This year's venue is Firebird International Raceway in Chandler AZ. This facility is top notch, and has all the amenities you need to have the full Camaro5 racing experience. Ask anyone who has ever attended a track day in their Camaro, and they will tell you nothing but positive things about it. Pfadt Race Engineering wants to see you on the track, in the convenient setting of the Official Camaro5 Fest II!

Located on the West Test Track, this will be THE EXPERIENCE you crave for in your Camaro. See the attached map. You've done Drag racing, you've done Autocross, now have your hand at proper road racing, brought to you by the proper road racing suspension company! Since we are the leaders in 5th Gen Camaro suspension, and are the only manufacturer to have a full Camaro suspension package backed by General Motors, we know a couple things about road racing - and we want to share. Use this opportunity to talk to us about upgrades, set up, alignment, and anything else Camaro related to going fast around a track! We are the go-to company for Race Engineering, so take advantage of the Official Camaro5 Fest II Track Day, and let us guide you! GM came to us for the proper suspension set up on their Club Racer Camaro SSX, so should you!
