It can happen. We have had cars dropped after hours and they belonged to other dealers. Of course, they were local and we would call and the dealer would come and get it. In along distance case, the carrier will pick it up and deliver to your dealer.

THanks. I always appreciate your information. Its half way across the country. California to Nebraska. Still get trucked? If they'd send rmpackers & me, we'd be happy to pick it up and drive home.

Get your traded/car back.......who knows where that Camaro might end up,who's to say the other dealer will give it back...might as well sell it over MSRP...probably telling your dealership...hey someone was willing to pay $5,000 plus for it....will send you a cut of the profit....

ok as one whos car "was missing " for about 4 weeks all i can say is if the dealer is good they will make up for this about your trade get it back or have them give you a loaner/rental free of charge. if you signed the paperwork then there is a contract issue not to mention some bad press.

but here the word be patient the cars are incrediable

The wrong dealer CAN'T keep the car. The MSO goes to the original dealer and it belongs to them.

My Dealers Spec Unit went MIA....

They never did locate it or at least tell them they located it.

They ended up sending them some Lame 6 cylinder ( Not that the 6 cylinders are lame) with wierd options that some dealer that was closing ordered. They were more than a little upset...Although they did sell it in a day.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us on this either with suggestions or humor. When my husband picked me up from the hospital where I work, he said; "So where is the chest pain emergency center?" He had a slight smile so I though Oh yippy skippy they made a mistake and my car is here!!!!! Then he told me what happened. I didn't even breathe for about 3 minutes. They are supposed to tell us today what kind of arraingments can be made to get the car back to Nebraska. We are so depressed, the "crib" was ready and family and friends were waiting for the new arrival. We also have a son coming home from Iraq on leave in 2 weeks that wanted to see it. We will keep you all posted and again many thanks to the best group of folks I know;Cam5!
